I have no idea why Bluefin will distribute a bunch of random Soul of Chogokin stuff here but won't do the Hulkbuster. Really didn't want to import it but now thinking about it. Also thinking of just getting the HT Vinyl for not much more. |

Are the overall prices really that bad? I buy Figuarts for over 4 years now and they haven’t gotten that much more expensive. Retail releases are around 1000¥ more than they were when I started buying them but they also amped up their game significantly since then so I’m fine with the prices they’re asking (most of the time).
Did the prices for other Japanese releases change that much or are we using a single, semi-exclusive figure that seems hilariously overpriced to judge a whole market here? |

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, but here is my experience from the six figmas (Twilight Zelda and Link DX, Samus, Windranger, Mikasa, and Yui Takamura) I own. To appreciate the level of detail you see in these pictures, you actually have to photograph the figure. You cannot appreciate the level of detail you see here in this image if you leave the figure on a shelf. The figures are quiet small (even smaller than the average 6'' Marvel Legend figure).
So just a heads up if you are going by just looking at these photos ! |

Very true. Not sure how Skywarp ended up in the 200+ dollar price range a few years back, considering how many times that newer seeker mold has already been repainted and released, with a ten dollar price increase every time for some reason.

If this figure was 70-80 range I don't think most would bat an eye, but $100+ for a single 1/12 scale figure is getting out of hand. One would imagine at a lower price point, they sell more figures thus earning a higher profit, but hey what do I know.
There's several Kamen Rider releases I've had to pass on recently for this same reason. It's a bummer. |

Yeah, price is about 30% higher than it should be. But considering NECA Predator figures cost about $50 AUD here in Australia, it's not that big a stretch for a higher quality item. I can see why Yanks would think twice though...

I knew this figure would be expensive, but good lord! It costs the price of nearly 6 NECA Predators. I know these are imports, but I feel like the prices are just ridiculous anymore. For me the SH turtles were pricey, then the Mafex DC figures, and then Play Arts Kai went wacky with pricing. Good Smile is in between Mafex and Play Arts Kai....basically between a rock and a hard place. PASS!!!
