Various Classified paint mods and repaints
On The HISS I got rid of the purple annealing effect on the Canons, the red on the canopy and the gunmetal on the Classified wheel covers. Last edited by firmpulse; 01-23-2024 at 08:33 AM.. |

I'll be updating this as I finish McFarlane stuff.
Also repainted the Gold Label Batwing for Tony Bacala https://www.toyark.com/forums/toyark...e-deco-189615/ (Toyark's McFarlane Batwing Gallery + Custom FIRMPULSE Deco!) Last edited by firmpulse; 01-23-2024 at 08:44 AM.. |

I didn't like that SS86 Snarl was left that gross yellow plastic. So I matched the paint to the rest of the Dinobots.

I wanted SS86 Slag to have a toy deco. I've developed a process for TF eyes I call "jeweling". The effect has a lot of depth (If I don't f-it up LOL)

Repainted the Mondo Exclusive Head included with Deluxe Skeletor. I'm not happy unless I'm ruining expensive toys I guess LOL

Black Death Watch Mando: Wanted to try a new technique here. I try to do with every project. The entire figure was broken down then sprayed with VHT Satin Black Auto Upholstery Dye. Then used gloss, matte, and satin topcoats to break up all the black. Then made a quick scarf. Sorry for the crappy pic. The only one of this project I snapped.

I wanted to do a full figure steel metallic paint job. Found the Thor 2-pack at Ollie's for $19!

This will be kind of ongoing. Currently repainting the Stinger to be a custom job. What's a custom Stinger without a custom Driver and Gunner?
When I was kid my Stinger Driver was a unique character I named,"Shift". He was Clutch's nemesis. So here he is. Head is a repainted Python Patrol Trooper. Added a lot of red detail. Added dark gray to his butterfly joints and the sides of his torso. Decided to partially repaint the Ferret Scout into the Stinger Munitions Operator. Codename: Cascade, due to her personal philosophy of attack. Which is an overwhelming outpour of munitions. It took a surprising amount of work to convert the figure. Repainted all blue/white armor accents black then added high gloss to match the Driver. Painted her entire torso as it was just gray plastic. Repainted a Valkyrie helmet two-tone gray. Also gave her black Valk web gear and added red accents. My goal was to make her look like she just rolled off the factory (to match the Driver) so no washes or highlights were used. Simple job but I think it works. |

Finished my Raptor mods. Gave him a lot of detail enhancement, converted his claws into removable forearm mounted things (by installing a Styrene peg and made use of the holes). Repainted his face, painted the eyes on the headdress gold to kill the taxidermy look, Hooked up the jewels on his necklace and forearms and installed rivet covers on the wings and interior of the pack. Also removed the "jet tampo" that was for some inexplicable reason stamped on the TOP. Nothing really major but, I'm happy with how it came out.

Repainted Wild Bill's glasses and painted his guns. Man, I love this figure. He's in my Top 10 Classified Figures.

Wait, this thread's been going since January, how come this is the first time I see this thread!?!
Love what you've done to Raptor. It's amazing how much details are sculpted into some toys, and it just takes a bit of wash to bring them out. Not saying that's a simple thing, having it expertly done definitely makes a big difference. |

But once you pick them up all the subtle details start to pop out. |

Project completed for Tanker NaytNavare. He wanted a jacked Red and Black Cobra Commander. I wanted a Darth Vader shiny helmet then balanced that with gloss bracers and boots. Dagger attaches magnetically to web gear. The field scarf/cape hybrid is a bonus I wanted to try. It will fray naturally with use.
