Here's a better look at them:

DC Universe All-Stars 6" Figures Series 2 Revealed - DC Comics - ToyNewsI.com

On the subject of articulation. I don't think these are the finished products. Once at retail they will posses all of the articulation we are used to I imagine.

In the Flash pictire I linked you can see added detail on his head sculpt and that his chest symbol is in 3D instead of just painted on.

On the subject of their trunks still being molded on, just imagine that their super suits have riden up a bit after a long day of super heroics.

im actually gonna take back some things i said. I looked at the new pics, and i was inspecting my older Question figure and was shocked. He DOES have articulation. He even had swivel thighs and jointed shoulders. Even the hands moved. Do the new ones use the molds similar to the arkham asylum batman? Cause they look really similar.

This Flash will be my Wally West. I like the new embossed/3D logos for the new 52 characters, but I'm not a fan of the new DC 52 comics. Also I do like the new Superman costume on this figure, but I hate the head sculpt. Why do they keep giving us more Supergirl figures, they really need to re-release Wonder Woman. As for Red Robin they really should have used the Superboy buck, the body they used is way to big for Tim Drake as Red Robin.

They look okay I do agree that Supergirl's hair needs to be different better than having that "blown in the f'n wind" look. Now I'm interested in buying the New 52 Superman evening though the S-shield looks kinda weird, but I can deal with it just fine.

I don't know about arkham asylum batman, but I believe it has standard DCU articulation.
90% of all DCUC and beyond have 23 points of articulation as Standard. That's only a few lower than most marvel legends, which are notoriously inconsistant in count from figure to figure, and extremely floppy.
Some DCUC have 29 points. Some have less.
They don't have balljointed hips, because they don't need them. They're given a different style or articulation which looks better, blends better with the sculpt, and has the same range of movement.

I really don't think you're giving them the credit they deserve. It sounds like you really haven't messed with many, or even really looked at many.

They're DCUC bodies. Supergirl was just painted black.

Yeah I'm 100% positive that you have them confused for DC Direct figures. DC Universe figures are fully articulated except for a few things like feet that tilt left and right and wrists that tilt up and down and of course, no double jointed knees or elbows but I"ve really never been a huge fan of that to begin with. I do like double jointed knees when done right but the double jointed elbows always work out to incredibly long gimpy looking arms, ie: Marvel Legends. Marvel Legends figures have some of the best articulation, but the proportions often look messed up which is weird because Marvel Universe has integrated a lot of Marvel Legends articulation without mucking up the proportions. DC Universe produces one of the most well proportioned looking figures I've ever seen but then Four Horsemen are doing the sculpting work so that's no surprise.

The 52 Flash will be a Wally stand in and other then that I'll most skip this wave. I'm almost greatful they dropped the C&C so I don't have to buy full waves.

Isn't that a sculpted logo on the Flash? I can't recall ever seeing one with a sculpted logo. Would pick it up just for that.

Superman is somewhat tempting but these CNC-less waves don't get me as excited. Could skip entirely and not mind.
