I recently had two figures have their swivel wrists come right off, pretty much right out of the package. One was from the Iron Man line, other was from GI Joe. There is no torn plastic as far as I can tell, it just looks like the nub on the hand isn't catching anything inside the wrist.

Have you guys had figures like that? How do you fix it?

I don't like the new bodies. They're plagued with problems.

im thinking about cutting off the plastic that attaches the new DD's nuchuck pouch to his belt. It completly impeds his leg movement.

The customizers will probably have better answers, but Super Glue might help your issue. Just drop a few drops of Super Glue on the tab/peg part and wait for it to fully dry, then pop it in place. You're basically just making the peg thicker so hopefully it holds in place with the added friction.

I've done this to help loose limbs on a few figures of mine, but that's the extent of my toy fixing skills.

I did that....Much better, but his leg is still going to fall off.

Believe it or not, you can still get that knee up to around 90 degrees even with the holster thing attached. Just takes some finagling. I originally also thought that leg wouldn't bend because of the holster.

I agree with the hips on the new mold easily coming off, especially Cyclops which I don't even mess with anymore due to this. Having said that, any thoughts on my problem with the wrists?

That works well for fixing ball joints (I've had to do this with lots of Transformers), but I was hoping to get the hand to actually peg in like it's supposed to. As you mentioned, friction would be the only thing holding it together and it wouldn't really work like a peg.

Superglue is ok,but the obvious danger makes me scream everytime someone mentions it,the best and,i believe HISStank approved method is to use clear nail varnish, coat the inside of the socket, and the outside of the peg, leave to dry overnight, then push the two back together.(it also works a treat for ARAH Joes knees and hip joints, with those you have to strip the figures right down, and coat the inner faces of the joints, when you tighten em up...BANG the looseness is GONE!!!)

Um the only thing iv got for that, would be a peg transplant from another figure?. You would have to drill and pin the new peg/hand together for strength...

might be a problem stemming from the packaging itself which puts stress on the plastic for however long it's been carded. much like bent legs or the ball hips on most of the newer MU bodies.
i'd try warming up some water in a mug for about a minute and 45 seconds then dunking the arm without the hand in there for a little bit. maybe like 30 seconds or whenever the plastic gets fairly pliable. you could try squeezing the hole together but the heat should be enough to bring it back to its originally molded state. let the arm cool off or run it through some cold water in the sink or in another cup. then try popping the hand back on.
if that doesn't work, then yeah i'd suggest a thin layer of glue around the peg to beef it up. i use zap brand glues which are fairly durable.

didn't know daredevil's holster strap was much of a problem, i think i was able to pose him fine with it. heck, i'm surprised at how durable the plastic is. my dr strange's skirt started tearing at the hint of movement.

update - funny enough my buddy in jersey and i started talking about it. said it was tough posing bullseye and daredevil cuz of the holsters and was thinking about cutting the loop on his. also that daredevil holster is tearing a bit. so i dunno.

My Absorbing Man figure has a waist that is super loose. Its annoying cause he can't stay up straight. I'm sure there is a quick fix.

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem has to be on the hand end because I took his other hand off and it goes into the problem wrist just fine. Even get the "snap" sound to let you know it's in place.

I slapped a layer of gorilla glue onto the peg of the hand and am letting it dry right now. I also added a thin layer of nail polish to the wrist (aka the female) end. Will post back later on with results.
