Man, Marvel Select is hitting us with like 6 figures in a span of a month. Hopefully I'll have Black Widow and Disney Cap in hand in a couple weeks.

Red Skull looks a lot better than Movie Captain America.

Nice review, thanks for that!

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I thought I'd drop a few pics of the MS Red Skull and Bucky Cap here, instead of spamming the forum with another Red Skull thread. I really like this figure and it goes perfect with the Bucky Cap (at least MOC it it does....).

..that's what I'm saying. I'll take that suit over his Dr. Evil suit any day of the week.

I disagree with your assessment on the MS Captain America.

My guess is that they couldn't get Chris Evans's likeness rights, hence the generic head.

However, you CAN put his shield on his left arm. It takes some work, but it's doable, and looks much better.

Saw Cap and Red Skull at my local comic shop today, very tempted to pick them up along with Deadpool and Juggernaut.

I saw Cap and RS today as well at my LCS. Too expensive though, $29.99 each...would have bought if under $20. RS looks really good, Cap looks ok, should be slightly bigger/beefier.

What the heck is that building piece? I saw the movie but can't recall what that is...but it doesn't look that good in any case.

I love the look of this figure, my only gripe is the $30 price point I end up paying, paid it for Deadpool, and I have a thor/gambit sitting aside for me and they're both around that if not more, damn comic shop markups, Zellers is the only place that sometimes carries it retail, they got spidey at the moment, but not jumping on him, 90% of what you're paying for with that figure is the artwork and a smashed car, due to the lack of POA, spidey doesn't fit well with Marvel Select. I will consider this, if it's cheap enough, I'd rather get the Hawkeye and Black Widow figures, to add to iron man and bucky cap, and soon thor, mini avengers display...... I can feel it, still need me a giantman baf.

If there is a 6" Ant Man/Giant Man from his original avengers run can some one post a pic i would love a 12 foot giantman to fit into the MU universe the Legends BAF Giant Man is perfect but just wish he was a tad smaller and alot less expensive lol.

If all else fails i guess ill have to break down and get the BAF.

Don't know what all the hub bub is about, I actually don't like the bead sculpt at all on this red skull. I don't like his constipated look or paint apps but to each his own.
Marvel Selects are gone from my collection at this point, IMO cheap statues with no articulation that aren't in scale with any other toy line.
I've still got a loose Juggernaut and Gambit if anyone is interested.

Ya, I'd say most MS figs have flaws. The first fig that comes to mind is Bucky Cap; overall very nice except the strangely stretched looking head (masked version). The new classic Cap fig looks nice as well, but for some reason the head looks off again, particularly the mask part under eyes. I'm still stoked nonetheless for this fig...instant buy..

The Hawkeye was much better than the Thor and from the looks of the advanced pics, Black Widow should be better than Cap.

As for that Giant Man for Universe. This one came with the Avengers box set and should fit the bill:

Neither, it was a pre-legends Avengers Box Set in 1996

Marveltoys.net - The source for Marvel figure information!

Although, the body was reused in the Marvel Legends and repainted as Goliath
