I'm a Transformer collector with a few non-transformer items in my collection. Two of which are a DC Universe Classics Martian Manhunter and a DC Multiverse Jon Stewart Green Lantern. I'm hoping to find a way to recreate a poster from my childhood of the 2001 Justice League cartoon main 7 (see attached) in toy form.

I'm inclined to go with 6"/7" figures, since I already have two. The trouble is that would take up a little more room than I'd like, but it would mean more posing options and accessories. I've been looking at the old JLU 3-3/4" figures, and they certainly look appealing. I just can't find a good place to buy them in my area (near Toronto, Ontario Canada).

Any recommendations on what to buy and where to get it?

USA here.
McFarlane Toys hasn’t made a Hawkgirl just yet for their DC Multiverse line. They just released Wonder Woman but she’s been difficult to find in stores so far.

DC Collectibles released 6” versions of the animated Justice League members from your poster. However, they’re going for a hefty price now since they had a limited release. Hawkgirl didn’t get her mace either.

If you want to collect either the old JLU line or Mattel’s 6” DC lines (DC Super Heroes, DCUC, DC Multiverse), you’ll need to either find a local shop that sells second hand figures or shop on eBay. eBay would be the quickest way to find figures.

For the JLU line, Batman and Martian Manhunter’s most show accurate figures were released near the end of the line. These versions will be hardest to come by and expensive. But you should be able to find older versions that are cheaper. Hawkgirl only received a couple of figures in her JL outfit. The rest of her figures were based on Star-Crossed and JLU. I think her JL single card release was the only one that had her mace included.

Since you already have a DCUC Martian Manhunter, Mattel’s 6” line may be the way to go. You mentioned a DC Multiverse John Stewart. Is he from Mattel or McFarlane? If he’s from Mattel, then you’re off to an even better start. The McFarlane version is 7” and will be too tall for Mattel’s figures. Superman and Wonder Woman shouldn’t be too hard to get. Hawkgirl will be more expensive but still easy to find online. Flash and Batman will be trickier. Mattel only released one Wally West Flash in their yearly subscription line, DC Universe Signature Series. However, they released a couple versions of Barry Allen’s Flash and he would be easier/cheaper to get. For Batman, many of Mattel’s releases had the yellow oval around his bat symbol. There was a DC Superheroes S3 Batman that could be a good stand in but his suit is blue and gray. If you’re not a stickler for the trunks, Mattel released a couple of New 52 Batman figures under DC All Stars and Batman Unlimited figure lines. The BU version is metallic though.

If you’re struggling to find a 6” Mattel figure you like, you could always look for DC Directs old figures. Some of them may scale will Mattel’s 6” lines. But you’ll have to check eBay or a local store that sells used figures. This isn’t the most complete guide but it should help: https://www.joeacevedo.com/figurezone/index.html
