OK, as if he wasn't rare enough already, someone in my travels pointed out that there is actually a PACKAGING variant of him!! Now collectors and completionists may take notice, some may not care, but check it:

One figure has weapons in hand

the other has weapons fastened to blister/card.

So the debate is this. I own, and have only ever seen weapons in hand version. (This is similar to Union Jack packaging variant.) The weapons on blister...is that just Hasbro stock photo or has ANYONE seen this in person?

Let me know. (Also if you've ever noticed Kitty Pryde Hasbro stock has Lockheed at the 3pm position on the card, whereas the figure released has Lockheed at the 2pm position.

Anything?

Good to hear man. Try and save up to put towards a house and then you can have that man cave that you think about. I have a growing collection in my 1 bedroom apartment but hopefully soon my wife and I will get the house that we've been dreaming about and that loft will be my display area.
Now you have to go find that Blade variant that I never heard of.

Normally when I come across an incident like this where its a packaging change that I have never seen or heard of I assume its just some stock photo

I generally assume the same, but for the 45 minutes I had my collection on sale yesterday, some dude emailed me about it saying that was one figure he didn't see, but he couldn't "recall" if he had ever seen it in person or not.

I have only ever seen the weapons in hand version. And I've looked around a lot. At this point I'm inclined to think that the weapons in package version is a stock photo.

That is interesting. Who does one have to kill to get a Blade figure anyway?

The "variant" with the weapons on the card doesn't come with the little throwing weapon the other Blade comes with. I noticed this when I first got Blade when the wave arrived and i was pretty miffed about it. But what the hell.

Worst MU sculpt ever. Early Punisher and Black Panther have the same exact bodies. Cant really pose them. and they suck for holding weapons. Maybe i should paint up Luke cage and swap the heads.

most definitely for a rare piece, this is FAR from one of Hasbro's crowning achievements.

I'm the minority on this I guess, Blade is one of my favorite MU figures even though his hand sucks and the body is below average. I like his face sculpt and weapons. He's not worth what he's going for but far from the worst figure in my book.

But he could be so much better. Been thinking of making a armored one from a Gi Joe Heavy Duty and paint black and add his head. May work.

Really? I hate his head sculpt, and really everything about the figure. Can't stand it, I just hope they help the fans out and re-release a better version, like Punisher and Bullseye. Another thing that really bothers me, is why does he have a stick in his left hand? It doesn't look like a scabbard or a steak, it's like a broom handle. What the hell?

Yea the hands suck and yes I'd like to see an improvement just like the new Daredevil and Bullseye but is the original Blade really worse than the original Bullseye, DD, Team X Wolverine, Mary Jane???

I'm willing to say...

He's better than Bulls eye, DD., and black panther.

Worse than...
Wolverine, and Maryjane.

But no where near as bad as Frank Castles'. Dear god have you seen the look on his face? It's as if he's smelled the world's worst shit.
