Another figure I didn't know I needed.
I wonder if the skin tone will be the same as the classic version. I want to use that pipe with the original.

Well while it could be less expensive to produce, it's still more units to make that might not be cost effective. And less work really depends on if their is any hand painting involved. Otherwise the time saved is minimal as it's like the assembly that's the bulk.

Grabbed Barbarian and Father Frost this year. No guarantee for arrival before xmas but here's hoping!

Mall Santa seems inspired by Billy Bob Thornton's Bad Santa.

Why is Barbarian Santa so much more expensive? Is it a bigger figure? Hard to tell from the rendered images.

I've been on the fence for months now about getting any of these. Been tempted a few times to get the classic Santa, especially now after getting Four Horseman's Father Christmas. Some of the others like Cyborg Santa are tempting too. Now that they are clearly doing a 2nd wave with some more cool variants (Barbarian, Northern Lumberjack Santa, Mall Santa), I may finally cave and get a few of these.

The Elves and Nutcrackers don't interest me at all though. Instead of doing more variants of those with wave 2, it would have been cool to get something new like a Frosty the Snowman (with evil variant), or a deluxe reindeer.

Shit they kind of dive-bombed into my Pile of loot and my bank account out of nowhere but I'm glad they're here. I still need to circle back around for some more though. I want Cyborg Santa as he is a near perfect rendition of Santa Doom (Santa Claus Doctor Doom). I was going to get the evil/zombie Santa but I think I'll skip it and go for this gremlin king. That mall Santa though is an instant buy. That cigar binds the whole look.

I need a sleigh and reindeer. Frosty, Mrs.Clause….hell we can go damn deep here. A Halloween classic line would be fun as well.

Well Frosty is still a licensed character. They might be able to get away with a Snowman character in general through.

Same with Rudolph. Though not hard for anyone to paint a nose red.

I wonder if my stuff will get here before the 25th. What's funny is I'm close enough to BBTS to get items within two days but like take a full business week(which usually encompasses a weekend) to ship anything under normal conditions. That plus holidays in general.


Edit- BBTS shipped EOD when I posted this.

Also Fresh Monkey has Classic/Jolly on their page for the minimum number of orders they need to go into production. What is confusing is BBTS is sold out. Maybe they need to update the page but also make it clear a new preorder is for DEC 2023.

I want to point this out, since the listings for Pirate and Jolly Santa, who both have pipes, don't make it clear. FMF showed a paint master of Pirate on their Facebook page, the pipe is removable from the hand.

Got these in today which was a surprise.
I got Jolly Santa and Krampus.

I only have two a few complaints.

Santa can't bend forward all that much(hear me out) despite having a good back bend. But that is so minor.

The hinges on the hands are a little loose for my liking. Not that they have anything real heavy to hold. The last thing with the hands is they are really in there. You will need to heat them up for swap or get a little lubricant in there.

This particular Santa has a little side eye. Companies, don't do side eye unless you got a second head ready.

There is paint on the hinges that is going to rub off. Maybe it's the nature of construction, but if they can not paint them to begin with, that would be nice.

Otherwise, these guys feel solid. They have some subtle shading will be sticking around. I didn't picture all the accessories but they have a few.

It doesn't affect the figure itself in any way but I noticed they changed the name on F Around and Find Out Santa to Checking It Twice Santa. I wonder why the change. Also I would've gone with You Better Watch Out Santa.

Probably just optics. Sometimes you got to censor yourself just in case. Or they just thought it sounded more Santa like.
