Hi all. New to the site. I found a box of some of my Marvel Legends figures and my Sabertooth that is still sealed in the package looks like he has mold growing on him. AHHHHHHH!!!! Has anyone else had this problem?

I didn't think mold could grow on plastics. Unless you kept them in a dungeon

I only use the dungeon to hide the bodies.
It looks like a white film that is on the legs and arms. |

Nope. He was in a sealed plastic tote in my extra bedroom. No light, no moisture, and controlled temps.

picture would be nice , all i can say is that you probably got some mold on the plastic not the actual figure no idea on how it would of gotten there in the first place :S if in packaging still intresting though i wouldnt mind seeing a picture of him

Funny you guys bring this up but the same with some of my figures. They get this thin white film on them that can be easily wiped off w/fingers or cloth. I also keep all my figs in plastic tote storage boxes. It's got to do something with the moisture in the basesment. I find it more on the dc universe figs mostly. Glad you brought that up because I thought this was only happening to me. How about the weird voices in the head thingy...does anyone get this too?

It could be mold release fluid. A lubricant used in production to make it easier to pull the parts from the steel molds. Sometimes it can get in the joints and seep out over time. If you were to open him it would simply wipe off.
