Something I wanted to pass along. I have been opening the Marvel Universe figures I bought and saving the card backs for each character so I have the UPC codes, only the UPC code is not on the card back, it is on the front piece that displays the characters name.

I only mention this because you might need the UPCs to get that Nick Fury and they are usually on the back of a carded figure. I almost threw away the piece that contained the UPC. I don't even know for sure if I'll need them, but better to have them just in case.

Yeah, the only thing I've been throwing away from the packaging right now is the rubber bands that sometimes hold the figures in place I wish Hasbro would let us know the details on the mail in

maybe it will be the little shield symbol insert, the fact that it has the tab to help pull it out of the plastic was a little strange.

Of course, there's always a chance you'll need a receipt and even then it might only be from a certain time.

I'm keeping everything though. The package, the back, the UPC, the SHIELD thingy, the bag it came in, my shopping cart, etc. You never know.

I figured it would have to do with registering the figures online, but either way, I've kept the UPCs and backboards, like I do with everything in a comic box.

Well as I am already with Hasbro's past mail-aways. I am going to guess it will be in the Secret Wars comic packs.
In past G.I. Joe & Star Wars comic packs you had to collect a certain amount of stickers. Then add those onto a mail-in form & send it in. I'm sure we may have to pay S&H around $4.95 too.

To get the Gi Joe mail away DOC figure you had to buy 6 ( 2 packs) at 12$ a piece to get enough stickers (one in each 2 pack) to mail away for the figure. plus $4.95 s/h

So a free figure actually cost you $60 plus.

NOT SO FREE !

You were paying for the figures in the comic pack and got a sticker for DOC, so all you payed was the shipping and handling. There for DOC was free.

I tried keeping my shopping cart once... and they called the cops. LOL - actually, we tried to load up 4 shopping carts in my truck... busted before we got out of the dang walmart parking lot.

Not if you didn't need or want the 2 packs and only wanted the DOC.

Then you should have bought one off Ebay.

To say that you had to pay $60.00 for Doc is absurd.

Nobody forces anyone else to buy the 2 packs, and I don't think anyone told the store they just wanted to pay for the sticker and the 2 pack could put back on the shelf.

I think Hasbro will do the same with this as they did DOC. Stickers and an order form. I don't think this first 2 wave will have anything to do with the mail-order Fury, as nothing for the figure is on the packages. I don't think we'll hear anything until SDCC.
