I am aware of them trying to cancel pre-orders. It's sad that 21 years ago, I worked for a company that had a monthly pre-order system for Comics, toys and collectibles and we knew how to do pre-orders and today's retailers can't. I remember when TRU got mad at Toy Biz because we were pre-selling the Movie X-Men figures. TRU had paid a premium to get the figures 1st before any other retailers. They had zero understanding of Mail order/online sales and had their SVP call up Toy Biz SVP of Sales. My Toy Biz rep got called into the SVP office and explained everything. His Boss got on the phone with TRU and botched the TRU SVP for being an idiot.

Yup, I agree with the above, I'm pretty sure that's illegal. That's why they always have someone watching the self-checkouts and there's a camera pointing at your face and the scanning area. One time I was at Walmart buying groceries, I had 2 bags of oranges and unbeknownst to me, one of the bag's bar code was smeared. It wouldn't scan so I took my second bag of oranges, scanned that and put the first one in. The light turned red, the employee came over and replay the video of the last 10 seconds of what I did, I showed him why I did that and he cleared the system because that was understandable. This is to catch people trying to buy an expensive item using a cheaper item's bar code. In your case you're trying to cheat a street date system, so I don't know what's the punishment for that. By all means come back and tell us what happened when you get caught. I'm seriously curious!

Not trying to scare you, you do what you do. I'm just saying don't say no one warned you should something happen.

Fair enough. And not disagreeing at all. However, if an item is on the shelf, it’s fair game. It’s bs that a customer can’t use their their money on an item that is clearly available to purchase. Street date or not.

Yah, put me in the camp of... if you see it on the peg... it is fair game... as long as you aren't outright stealing it or resorting to violence or something.

I was watching this toy hunt video of someone finding a Rogue at Target early, but they took it from him at the register since it was street dated, but then an employee came to him and put the Rogue on reserve for him under his name at customer service so he could come back for it on Sunday... which is what he ended up doing. That is how all street date violations should be handled IMO.

Finally got a chance to play with my Firefly and Storm Shadow. The weapon rack that came with the Deluxe Snake Eyes belongs to Storm Shadow, it literally has his name on it! It says "Storm" on the left and "Shadow" on the right. That thieving Snake Eyes!

I thought I was actually gonna get lucky on Tuesday when I walked into a local Target with it showing that there were three vipers still on hand on the their app. Of course...nowhere on the shelf. After contacting an employee, she saw on her scanner there was indeed 3 still in their system, and she went on the hunt with me as well.

Twenty minutes later however, she came back to tell me she couldn't find them anywhere (of course...why would I be so fortunate..) They stayed in the system for all of Wednesday, until this morning they were finally cleared from it....meaning they were either hidden, stolen, or whatever other tomfoolery people do to screw up the system.

That's the third time I've been blue-balled in store after thinking I was finally gonna get lucky and land one. I've already given up caring at this point.

Of course all of this stupid BS could be avoided if Target would just remove their stupid embargo restrictions to allow us to order these online as opposed to being in store only. Of course though...I know that is not a given. Some of my buddies who were fortunate enough to land Vipers during the preorder period recently had their preorders placed on back order. They truly shit the bed once again...

It could be that they had put them on hold at customer service for someone who called ahead in the same way I did. I'm sure I made someone mad at both locations who wanted them but couldn't get them due to the employees not knowing where they were.

According to TNI, Duke is shipping from online retailers with an updated deco. The red and gold paint apps have been changed to black/dark grey and silver. Personally, I'm a bit skeptical since they're not sure of the original source, other than it being from someone Facebook who claims to have ordered it on Amazon. Man repaints already.....yah i dont see this line going too far. Between impossible to obtain bs exclusives and crappy repaints of characters that were already lackluster this line is.....

The figures would have to be peg warming for the line to be doomed. Everything is selling out, at least at physical stores. These repaints are in response to fans not liking the gold armor and tech bits.

If you want a doomed line, look no further than Ghostbusters Plasma Series. Every store ai go to has stacks of those figures.
