Where did you order him? Pulse? Ok now I am irritated. I have paid Hasbro for Pulse Premium, received absolutely no notification and now he is sold out.

Retro carded Zartan and Storm Shadow were up on Walmart for a bit...but they were INSTANTLY gone on Pulse in about 4 seconds after they went live to the general public. |

I missed the fact the retro carded figures were being listed. They were low priority for me anyway and I just placed the pre-order with Walmart. Hopefully I manage to snag Mindbender later this weekend.

Finally had the time to sit down with Croc Master. I have to say that I'm actually kind of disappointed with the master himself. I don't know why, but the figure does nothing for me. Fionna is clearly the selling point. I was really hoping to love CM himself though. A shame I can't get a second gator without buying another set to match the comics.
Storm Shadow is pretty awesome the more I play around with him. Posing him is great and I have to say the hood grew on me while I was doing the showdown pics with Snake-Eyes since I was sort of re-enacting the battle scene from Resolute. Now for the comparison between regular SS and the Ninja Force version, it's cool to have both, however, I don't feel like they are the same person based on the head sculpts. I'm not sure if that sounds awkward to you or not, but for example, when I got the new Havok the other day from the Bonebreaker Legends line, his face looked like it was the same dude as the 90s X-Factor version. Between the two Storm Shadows, I don't see the same character in the eyes. They look like two completely different people. Stormy Shadows: Red vs Blue: Gator Bait:

Is there any reason why he's $35?

The Crimson Guard and his wave mates are back up on Pulse- go quick on that CG, as of this post there are just under 2000 left of 11000, and he's only been up for 1/2 an hour or so.

Lowlight, Serpentor and Flight Pod with Televiper coming to classified. Saw digital CADs for Rockin Roll, Torpedo and Shipwreck and Copperhead shown at Joe panel at SDCC.

Got in pre-orders for Dr. Mindbender and Sergeant Slaughter. I'll admit, Mindbender was a FOMO order as much as anything else. He wasn't especially high on my want list when I started Classified, but what few lamentations I have as a collector are things I regret passing on.
Those early renders of Rock-n-Roll, Shipwreck, Torpedo, and Copperhead look amazing! Pardon the pun, but Lowlight is a highlight! Hopefully we see some renders soon. Haven't read up on all of what the panel said, but it'd be great if the Flight Pod comes with a flight stand. I'm actually not as excited about Seprentor as I thought I'd be. I'll still get him, but when I look at the current makeup of my Classified shelf, he'll definitely stick out like a sore thumb. Then again, so will Mindbender. I'll certainly pose those two together. I was also able to place orders for Slaughter and Mindbender over the weekend, and I'll order the Pulse Con Sepentor, but the Copperhead news kind of leaves me confused. It's not a character that I am interested in unless they are making a Water Moccassin, and even though it was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid, I don't want a $200-300 HasLab version.

I expect that any Classified vehicles larger than the motorcycles we have already received will be Haslab. The price and size would be prohibitive to a general market release and available shelf space at retail.

But they are releasing a Fortnite boat that is supposed to be going to retail, so maybe? But Fortnite is more popular brand than G.I. Joe, so who knows...

Aye, that's always been the main issue with Joes going bigger. One of the reasons I loved collecting Joes in the 80s was all the cool vehicles you could get for them. The Classified figures look pretty good overall but they sure do lack that part of the fun factor the original smaller figures had. |

Vehicle releases may also depend on the quality we are willing to accept. The Fortnite boat is nowhere near the quality and detail of the Haslab HISS, but appears to be of similar quality to the previously released Classified motorcycles. Perhaps Classified vehicles of similar size, detail and price could be viable? I simply cannot see $300 general release larger vehicles being a viable business model. |

True, I had forgotten about the Fortnite boat. I will be curious as to how many are sold, how many are purchased by collectors of other lines and how quickly it lands on clearance. Your comment on popularity is a fair point.

Different note. I hate that Sarge comes with an AK. That's just wrong. Last edited by firmpulse; 07-25-2022 at 02:16 PM.. |

I don't but my mate has Flint and Storm Shadow and they're nice and everything, particularly Shadow, but as I said I really loved the vehicles in the 80s line. The AWE Striker, the Dragonfly, the Havoc, the HISS tank, the Rattler etc. That was a huge part of why I collected them. I had a pretty sweet base playset too. I can't remember if that had a proper name or anything but I loved it. I remember really wanting the Rolling Thunder but never getting it. I don't think we ever got the USS Flagg over here in the UK. I think it was far too big for whatever reasons, perhaps stricter health and safety? lol. Blimey, I'm feeling super nostalgic for all that old GI Joe / Action Force stuff now. I wish I still had all my old toys. |
