I found Major Bludd at Brothers Toys & Collectibles, it's a local business that sells new and old figures. Since I have him I figured I'd recreate the fight between him and Storm Shadow in GI Joe: America's Elite #9
Crimson, Not Red Enough As a bonus, I recreated the cover for GI Joe: America's Elite Disavowed Vol. 1 America's Newest War. Just in case you were wondering why Penguin, it's because of the jokes about Dick Cheney being the Penguin. Originally the comic had a Cheney look-alike in Bludd's crosshairs but was changed to avoid controversy. |

IMO Classified Major Blood had like the craziest price journey on the secondary market. I remember he was super hard to find at first and was crazy expensize when a few people somehow got him very early... then tons of him finally showed up at Target and his price went down... then his price dropped way down like I saw him everywhere for 25 bucks at local toy shows because a lot of people hoarded him, but then he slowly started to go back up once the Storm Shadow wave hit.

Oh wow... just saw pics of the 4" Hiya SE on Hisstank... not bad IMO. I have the 4" Hiya Predator and that thing is amazing... feels super fragile though... like a tiny statue instead of an action figure made to be played with like how Hasbro Joes feel like.

Well, it appears that I will have 3 more BATs for my collection. The pre-order from GameStop that I completely forgot about showed up yesterday. BATs may have now passed AIM and Hydra soldiers as my largest group of army builders. I should really confirm whether I have more orders sitting out somewhere...

Well this was an unexpected surprise. I just received a Pile of Loot notification for my Crimson Guard pre-order from BBTS.

You mean, for ONCE, BBTS actually got something new before others?!? Congratulations! That's like hitting the lottery.

On another note, if anyone is interested in bolstering their Joe ranks with Valaverse, Dorkside presently has 3 of the figures on sale for $22 each.

Same, but I wasn't ready to get them as I was debating if I really needed them. Oh well, at least it's only four. I better cancel my preorders at Amazon and Pulse.

I was down for 11 but wasn't expecting them this early. May have to alter my order and pick some up later. I love the crimson guard they are a favorite of mine.
I had enough to do it so went with it. Last edited by Atomsmasher; 09-16-2022 at 12:42 AM.. Reason: Conclusion |

I got a notification last night that Amazon is about to ship the blue ninjas, which I had forgot I ordered. I guess that's cool, but I would rather be getting the figures I pre-ordered from Target in January and April, since Target keeps putting holds on my card for them.

As would I. I woke up to yet another round of notifications for the wonderful Target charges.

BATs arrived from Gamestop.com. They needed some a weapons upgrade and I ordered from Gridironprops.com. Great weapons. If you are a Joe Classified collector, check out Gridironprops.com for stands and weapons packs.

My Blue Ninja sets arrived today. I was pleasantly surprised that Amazon actually used a reasonable amount of protective packing material inside the shipping box. The sets were also still inside the plain cardboard boxes which added to the protection. While I am far from a MoC collector and the new packaging makes that virtually pointless, I still appreciate receiving a package that is not destroyed.
As most of my Classified collection is still boxed, as I knew it would be going into storage for a while, I also appreciate that Classified uses uniformly rectangular packaging. It made for much easier and more secure packing than something like Marvel Legends. It seems odd to be appreciative of such but it was one less headache to deal with amongst everything else when they all fit easily and securely into the storage box. |

^ It's so funny you mention that... I had a bunch of old 45qt IRIS Storage Containers/Plastic Bins that I bought from Costco a long time ago and my Classified Joes fit perfect in them... like perfect height and width for two columns worth of boxed up Joes and even my MIB Coil Baroness and Ram fit too because everything is the exact same height. Looking at all my Joes fitting so snug in a containter made me feel so content for some reason. LOL.
However like you said my unopened Marvel Legends are a nightmare to store because of that extra height because of the hook peg. I noticed that the windowless Classified Kamakura has the extra hook peg part of the packaging too... so I guess that's the end of that. |
