You can also use the boil and pop method to safely remove most of the vests, web gear, and overlays that many of the Classified figures have without to resort to cutting them off. Just heat up the figures, carefully remove the head and arms/shoulders, and then simply slide off the overlay from there. You will then be able to use those overlays again with other figures for new looks without having to resort to gluing them on, or save them for when you need a change of pace.

They are a dream to take apart. Very easy. Love that we can basically "change their pants" due to the rubber overlay.

Went away for a few days on a work trip and when I got back Copperhead, Rock and Roll, Scrap Iron, regular Bazooka, and Artic B.A.T. were waiting for me. Copperhead looks get sitting in my $15 Ollies Fortnite motorboat, and the effect pieces with Scrap Iron are great and I think one of them will permanently reside with Bazooka, and they really should start including them with all the figures.

Artic B.A.T. is kind of a disappointment for me. I like the new head a lot, but mine has some of the loosest hips that I have experienced on a Classified figure. They also used a softer/gummier plastic on the hands, so while he can't hold the new rifle properly without it slipping due to a bad grip, the original B.A.T. hands can hold it fine. I also thought about putting the new head on the original B.A.T. but is impossible, the Artic B.A.T. has a smaller ball in the neck and the heads have been retooled to fit it. So no easy parts swapping.

The new head on the Artic BAT does fit on the Crimson BAT and looks really good...unfortunately it doesn't work on the Python Patrol or standard BAT. You might however be able to swap the actual neck part that the ball joint rests between BATS to allow for that new head to work with older figures, but it is something that I have yet to try out for myself.

EDIT: You can indeed swap the neck parts from one BAT to another, though the actual neck piece may sit a little loose on the body depending on which BAT you are swapping to. Alternatively, if you are able to find a ball peg similar in size to either the Crimson or Artic BAT, you can simply swap out the original pegs with those so they will work, which is a far better solution than dremeling out the head.

The new chest plate also works well with the Crimson BAT...but I cannot get it to stay on the other two BAT types at all. They must have retooled somewhere between figures.

My biggest issue with the new BATs is outside of the chainsaw, they included none of the original attachments the previous BATs came with.

Yeah I will add to the complaint about the original attachemnts not being included because they gave it the same backpack that looks empty with only the replaced hand plugged into it, and that my Artic B.A.T. is always going to have the chainsaw hand on it.

Yeah, I did a double take too. For a moment, I thought Raf had returned to the Ark.

Assuming those were in response to the boxes...

I had issues last year which made me time out on galleries. And before that was building for a group set of galleries. And then I was backed up so I just didn't open any of them. I cheated here and there on a couple but generally didn't.

Same thing with SHF DBZ. Transformers I just opened and shelved.

But yeah, should be a fun week.

Sounds good; didn’t mean to make you feel like you had to answer the thoughts in my head. The image just reminded me a lot of a former “super-Arker.”

Looking forward to seeing what you do as it’s always of the highest quality and cool too!

Ha! I remember that guy, he had an epic SHF collection. I think he sold his collection off a year or so ago, saw he was selling them on ebay.

Could be me in a year or two! lol

Jokes aside, I'm a little surprised by this, but he had a couple of collections he could have done that with. I still haven't seen anything like his DCUC collection and I've seen a few epic collections.

Lol dam! I don't think I know of his other collections. I only knew his pics with the sheer backdrop of SHF boxes. So hearing he had other epic collections is cool but, he already had baller status in my eyes. So yeah, I remember being a little surprised to see that he was calling it a day.

I'm definitely in a lull with my own collecting these days as well as being oddly content with what i already have but even still, it would probably take some kind of drastic need for money for me to sell my collection entirely.

This was one of my cheat opens. Testing lighting setups and even though it's basic to most folks, being able to nail white on white BG without cutouts makes me go EFFYEAH. To myself. Also, Storm Shadow is cool.

Yeah, B, I’m not one to flaunt what I have, so it makes sense that I’m also not one to do so for others, but as prolific as his DBZ collection was, his DCUC collection was possibly the most complete I’ve ever seen publicly displayed. He had multiples of everything in boxes and collected loose to photograph. He had super-rare stuff, factory/package errors, color edits sharing the receipts by posting photos of the full ‘retail racks’ (not the shelves we plebians use) in his basement. It was quite impressive. He used to post his hauls on “Look what I just Got” and they’d just be enormous piles of USPS/FedEx/UPS deliveries. He’d have to break the haul down by lines…it was pretty nutz.

Huh? No man, I was saying WTF? because I was shocked at how many 33s you had. I don't even know which character was 33, assuming it was an army builder, so damn that's a lot of soldiers.

I totally get that. If I had the money and space, I would buy like 50 Cobra Soldiers on top of probably 10 more Crimson Guards and Alley Vipers. Most likely 10 more viper 3 packs and even actually army build the Range Vipers, Snow Serpenets, and Eels.

Speaking of Range Vipers...who got their Range Vipers canceled this week by Wal-Mart? I sure did.

On another funny note...I also got a backordered notice on my PP Crimson Guards, only to go to Target the same day and find an entire case of them (and TF Dusty as well) on the shelf. Why do they seriously make this so difficult?

I've had similar things with Target. First it was just being unable to get it ordered. Now I can get it ordered, but it never shows up. I see it in store before it ships or it just gets cancelled.

It's like they're being forced into doing Pre-Orders and don't really want to do it. They should just own their shit, say "we want you to come in store and shop, so it's in-store only" and be done with it. List it only when it's available for in-store pick up locally.

My Range Viper (and Big Ben) did not get cancelled yet, but I my card I used to order them has expired and I am unable to change my payment information to the new card, and contacting customer service was no help at all. So I know a cancellation is coming. Considering just ordering the HISS squad that they announced at SDCC and the RV that comes in it just being the one that I get.

Got Torpedo in the mail yesterday and it's really nice for a figure that I was not real excited about. Harpoon gun is soft plastic and kind of warped, which is my only complaint about it. Looking forward to the Eel now.
