My time table might be slightly off but I know Wave 1 hit much earlier at Wal-Mart because they got it before they even know what to do with it and I got a good chunk of it for $9 each. Then Wave 2 and Cobra Island figures started to pop up in June/early July (although that's when many ran into issues then of the figures ringing up fine but places like Target still weren't letting people buy them until August). Either way, I think it's still clear Hasbro had never planned on a large rollout for this line and are still holding back.

So I was at Target this morning, and around the Customer Service desk were 6-7 dudes (and 1 dudette) standing around waiting for something. I thought "whoa...is there a case of Viper that came in that I didn't know about?!", and I heard one of them said "...they'd outright lie to you and tell you they don't have it...", so I asked one of them "what are you guys waiting for?" and he answered "cards".

Cards? Anyone know what cards?

I guess GIJoe collectors are not the only ones Target pissed off?

Yi-Gi-Yoh, Pokémon, Magic...take your pick. Whatever works the hot thing is these days.

Card collectors employ some tactics that would make toy collectors blush. I've seen guys actually bring portable scales into stores to weigh packs; The line of thinking being that if a pack or deck weighs ever so slightly more than another pack, that pack contains a chase card of some sort...

Gotta be Pokemon... during the holidays it was crazy how many people were hunting for Pokemon cards at my Target... like it dwarfed how many people were hunting for action figures.

Same here...but BBTS just told me my troopers came in. Of course I didn't order Zartan from there though...so gonna have to wait it out and hope I find it in the wild, since Pulse is being punctual as usual...😒

BBTS has posted preorders for the updated Scarlett, Duke, and Roadblock. The new listings have updated pics and each is titled with "Redeco". The entire first wave can also be preordered with the updated figures.

Digimon cards just landed got two by luck yesterday. Lady scolded me for wanting more than two but genuinely didnt see any limit sign. I apologized to that employee a dozen times. The starter decks were the way to go though.

Probably Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic. Both had new sets release today, so it's likely they were trying to get them before the street date. Pokémon's next hype set isn't until the 19th, and until then nowhere's gonna have anything anyway. That game is more depleted than the Hasbro sections in the toy aisles these days. They just can't print enough.

I was at one of my Targets and all the Joe pegs were empty, but I had to do a double take on the price tag... the Viper price tag said $28.49... which just blew my mind. The Firefly price tag was $23.99 though... so he is still the normal Joe price here.

Sadly, I would've bought a Viper at that price in a heartbeat. Going rate on eBay is about $80 at the moment.
