That’s the Nerf Longstrike that came with the CI Cobra Trooper, which used to be the one thing that the Cobra Trooper has that the Infantry didn’t have. Nice of them to re release it this way. |

Today was a great toy day. My BATs from Pulse came in along with my case order from EE and my Action Force Wasp Raider. I definitely went overboard on the BATs and I still have another order outstanding from GameStop.

At 6" scale troop building to me means 2 troopers and 1 officer... that's it. LOL. And that has less to do with cost and more to do with there just is not enough room to display figs at that size.

I really need to take this approach. I got carried away with Infantry and Troopers and that trend has continued with the newer troops. The BATs pose the added problem of suckering me into overbuying as I am a robot figure fan in general.

^ Whoa... didn't even notice the Cobra symbol at first. IMO it would be smart of them to just do Cobra figures and vehicles and skip the Joes... more money in Cobras I think because of the troop building. Never bought any Hiya figures before though, so I don't know what the build quality is like... their 1:18 modular playsets look amazing though. |

Hiya is a small company, so I'd imagine the amount of releases would pace around something like Mezco. I've also heard that the overall quality of Hiya's offerings aren't great; sort of fragile, like Neca. I have heard that the later stuff has improved greatly though, so there's hope. In any case, I feel like it bears watching. |

				 | Quote: I agree from the standpoint that army builders would be the most profitable, but I wouldn't mind seeing them go deep- the whole reason I dropped ME was the lack of a full roster. After all, the choices for Major Bludd, for example, were limited to the 25th or the PP Con version. It'd be great to see a company dedicate themselves to the line and do a reasonably complete run; you and I both know of the sheer amount of characters Joe featured... which does bring me to some possible downsides. I've read comments that the colonial marine figures were in a similar vein, so while I do appreciate the detail being incorporated into these tiny sculpts, I've just steered clear of them altogether because of that experience, which was tough because i Really wanted their Robocop releases. It's just not fun to play with toys that I'm constantly wondering will crumble to dust in my hands. |

So I was confusing Hiya with JoyToy... JoyToy is the one that makes awesome 1/18 scale figs/mechs/modular playsets. Kinda sad now. LOL. I saw the Hiya Aliens Power Loader at Gamestop for 40 bucks, but then I watched some reviews of it on youtube and although it looked pretty cool paint app-wise... it also looked pretty cheaply built... so my hype for this diminishing.

Looked great in the box...but once I took them out, things immediately started to fall off and break, even with a fair amount of heat and the most gentle of handling. Twenty minutes after opening them, they were back in their boxes and up on ebay.
