It's time to sink your teeth in to not one, but TWO issues of everyone's favorite 3.75" Comic Strip, Ages 25 & Up!
HissTank.com Boards Member & A25&U creator, Numbers, provided 2 issues for us; Issue 170, entitled And To All A Good Night and Issue 171, entitled Dropping The Ball. As Issue 171 would suggest, I dropped the ball too and didn't Front Page these when they were received. Sorry, Numbers! That said, be sure to check them out as they're deep fried in AWESOME. Once you've caught up the latest issues, join us for discussion already in progress after the jump. |

We are exactly a month away from Super Bowl XLVI and reports are coming in that NBC Universal has officially sold out all 30-second advertising spots for the 2012 Super Bowl.
There is a good chance that a 30 Second TV Spot for G. I. Joe Retaliation is included on the list. We may hear the news pretty soon. It’s only a matter of time. Super Bowl XLVI is scheduled for February 5th, in Indianapolis. NBC is broadcasting its 17th NFL finale, tying CBS for No. 1 among networks. |

So, what do we have planned for 2012? Glad you asked! Along with an extensive expansion to our Sky Striker selection (covering the XP-21F 30th Anniversary edition) we'll be launching an entirely new line of products: Vehicle Name Tags! These sets feature a slew of GI Joe character names in black, white, and a splash of other fun colors, spanning from 1982 to 1994. Next, they have posted a list of new Sky Striker XP21F sticker sets that they will be releasing:
You may have also noticed a small hiccup with the website recently. We switched to a new hosting system and inadvertently lost a few orders. Affected customers were quickly refunded and things are now running smoothly. If you do notice any technical problems please feel free to contact me, Mike, at technicalsupport@cobrastickers.com. For other service inquiries please make use of our customer service e-mail form. Have a great 2012. |

MTV recently chatted with Lady Jaye actress Adrianne Palicki, who appears not only in GI Joe Retaliation but a remake of the Cold War-era flick, Red Dawn. Turns out that Palicki was a huge fan of Jinx when she was younger. She also mentions that Retaliation is a reboot:
Palicki: It was a pleasant surprise, because this is a reboot. It's scary going into the shoes that have already been worn. We wanted to do something really unique and special. With such an amazing group of talented actors, you don't want it to fall flat. How many people reached out, it's unbelievable to hear the comments that they're so excited, that the trailer is better than the first movie was. Just really cool reactions that you're going, "OK, hopefully we don't let you down." I really don't think we will. I think it's going to be a really fun ride for everybody. The cast was able to perform their own stunts, which is definitely right up Snake Eyes actor Ray Park's alley. Though Jinx was Palicki's favorite, Lady Jaye isn't so bad, though this time around, she won't be sporting some javelins: MTV: What was the scariest thing you had to do on set? Palicki: We did have to scale a wall, but after seeing "Mission: Impossible 4," I'm like, "Well, I guess it wasn't that scary." An 18-foot wall compared to a skyscraper. The fun thing is that we get to do a lot of our own stunts. MTV: Were you a fan of "G.I. Joe" when you were growing up? Palicki: Oh yeah, definitely. I have a big brother, so anything he liked, I liked. He was super big into comic books, so I was super big into comic books. He was super big into G.I. Joe, and I wanted to be Jinx so badly. I don't know just if it was that she was wearing a red costume or what, but I wanted to be a ninja. MTV: Were you disappointed to be Lady Jaye then? Palicki: Lady Jaye's a badass. I couldn't really be disappointed with Lady Jaye. She's the one chick in the boys club. She can hold her own. She doesn't get the staff, but she is a weapons specialist. She has that going for her. |

The fourth wave of G.I.Joe 30th Anniversary Figures (described by Hasbro as wave 10) has eluded many collectors. Be it Sci-Fi, Lifeline or the uber cool Cobra Zombie-Viper, Collectors have been scrambling to get their hands on the latest release of figures.
Pickings have been slim. Figures are barely showing up at retail and online stores such as Kokomo Toys, Small Joes and BBTS are all but sold out... But WAIT! There's hope yet! HissTank.com board member Cobra Coffee has spotted the elusive wave online at Hasbro Toy Shop! If you haven't been able to secure yours, well, now's your chance! Last Saturday, Sideshow Collectibles posted another round of questions under the Ask Sideshow Q&A Session.
Although we already knew that Snow Job would be soon joining the awesome ranks of Sideshow's excellent 12" G.I.Joe Figures, Sideshow has hinted of other figures soon to be created - Question: When can we expect to see great Joes like Snow Job, Mutt & Junkyard and Gung Ho? Answer: Of the Joes that we would like to tackle next, you've named two of our favorite four. Shipwreck is missing from your list, but who ahs the other slot? Hmmm.... Let the speculation begin! |

Your fellow HISS tanker Zartanman made this custom Cobra Terror Drome.
"This is a commissioned Terror Drome I've been working on for about six month. So basically everything has been custom painted from top to bottom. I created some rust effects here and there. I reformatted most of the foot pegs for modern era. I added lights to the outside, inside and some of the computer control panels. I also per commission request created a Missile to sit in the middle of the dome. The repro stickers are from J Ruben. I also repainted the firebat and created a custom pilot. Though I can't show it in the pictures the lights on one of the computers flash as do the white lights in some of the compartments which really gives it that alarms going off feeling." Both the G.I.JOE team and the terrorist organization COBRA are keenly aware of the superior martial arts skills possessed by members of the ARASHIKAGE CLAN. While COBRA COMMANDER has employed the RED NINJAs from the ARASHIKAGE ninja clan, the ruthless leader formed a select group of ninjas who were completely loyal to protect him should the RED NINJAs or any opposing force ever get too close, leading to the establishment of COBRA'S BLACK DRAGON NINJAS. COBRA COMMANDER had his BLACK DRAGON NINJAS brainwashed as a precaution to ensure that his growing ranks of ARASHIKAGE never rise up against him or COBRA. Little did he know that the ninja STORM SHADOW is a master of the atsui nami a deep mind control technique, which he cunningly used on the BLACK DRAGON NINJAS to ensure their allegiance to him.
