Hisstank.com forum member skinny has posted the 4th installment of his G.I.Joe Dossiers series. This time around, the focus is on General Ledger!
From the G.I.Joe Wiki - Admiral Ledger is a proudly old school mariner, bragging, "The whales ask me for directions." However, while this attitude helps keep his ship efficiently run, it also includes traditional maritime superstitions such as women being considered bad luck on board. This obviously is an irritant for female Joes like Lady Jaye, but he is apparently professional enough otherwise. Once you've watched the latest G.I.Joe Dossiers episode, share your thoughts with us right here on the Hisstank.com Forums!... [Read More] |

Hot on the tail of his Admiral Ledgers Dossier Video, Hisstank.com forum member skinny has posted another Biography very similiar to his Kwinn the Eskimo video, this time focusing on none other that Billy!
Billy Kessler is another character from the GIJOE comic series. He is the son of Cobra Commander. He has been an integral part of the series written by Larry Hama until recently when the final nail was placed in his coffin. Brainwashed several times by Dr. Venom's brainwave scanner, at one point Dr.Venom's mind even took over Billy's body. Billy has appeared in the Marvel, Image, DDP and IDW comic series. At this time there has never been an official Billy figure in any of his costumes. As you can see there are several costumes that Billy has worn over the years. There are three that get the most attention however, and those are "Cub Scout" Billy, Storm Shadow apprentice Billy, and older Billy. There was an official poll done by Hasbro to make a Billy figure but he lost to the character called Doc. Billy is known as William Kessler Latta in the IDW series "Cobra Files". Billy has been part of GIJOE comics as early as issue #10 to today. It will be interesting to see if there is ever a figure made of any of his incarnations. Once you've enjoyed the biography, share your thoughts with skinny on his latest work after the jump!... [Read More] |

Now here's something that's all sorts of awesome! To kick off the holiday season, Hisstank.com forum member Dusty79 has created this fun custom, codename Christmas Commando, as a present of sorts for his son! Check out the back story -
I made this ornament for my son. There is a tradition in my family of each person getting an ornament every year that involves their interests at the time. Right now he loves Snoopy and Woodstock and is just getting into GI Joe. He is 2 and a half. How cool is that? I think this is a holiday tradition that I'll be incorporating in to our own celebrations. What about you? Let Dusty know what a cool Dad he is and sound off on your G.I.Joe related ornament ideas after the jump!... [Read More] |

For those of you that have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Sideshow Collectibles Baroness Crimson Strike Premium Format Figure, well then keep your eyes locked on your inboxes as the Baroness Crimson Strike will be available ONLY through the SideshowCollectibles.com website! She will be priced at $359.99, with incremental payment plan options available. Keep an eye on the weekly Sideshow Newsletter for her pre-order announcement today, Thursday, December 5th!
One of the most nefarious and recognizable icons in the ranks of Cobra, the Baroness made her first appearance in Marvel Comics’ G.I. Joe #1, in June 1982. Although it took two more years for the dynamic villainess to join the toy line as part of Series Three, by 2002 Hasbro was proud to release a third version of the Baroness figure during the G.I. Joe “Legacy of Valor” Convention in Norfolk, Virginia. CRIMSON STRIKE TEAM Traditionally known for her seductive appearance with a tight black suit, long black hair and spectacles to match, the all-red version of her costume was quite a departure, and aesthetically well received. Boasting a new file card that would elaborate on her devious motives, the Baroness took charge of the Crimson Strike Team in a boxed set, which also included the Crimson Twins – Tomax and Xamot, and an army builder selection of twelve Crimson Vipers. The Baroness continued to make appearances in her scarlet uniform, ruling alongside the Crimson Cobra Commander, commanding the Crimson Guard – or Siegies, and starring in a 2009 Kansas City convention exclusive G.I Joe VS Cobra comic book titled “Crimson Reign.” “Only the special ones are chosen!” Following Sideshow’s premiere black, and ‘Classic’ blue releases of the Baroness Premium Format™ Figure, Cobra’s chief intelligence officer shows her true colors in the debut of the Crimson Strike Version! Fueled with an insatiable lust for power, there is no stopping the beautiful, yet deadly Anastasia Decobray, as she takes command of the elite infantry of Viper soldiers known as the Crimson Strike Team. Primed with an assault rifle and ceremonial Cobra dagger at her hip, the Baroness is dressed to kill in a blood red variation of her traditional form-fitting fabric uniform, featuring sculpted armor details, bright silver accents and a gold aiguillette denoting the height of her military rank and honor. Expertly crafted in 1:4 scale, the stunning Baroness Crimson Strike Version Premium Format™ Figure stands over 22 inches tall, an outstanding addition to any G.I. Joe or Cobra collection. ***UPDATE*** The Pre-Order is now live! Get yours while supplies last! http://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectib...ibles-3000802/... [Read More] |

Mr. Rama Tampubolon from Rama's Screen recently had the chance to speak with Evan Daughtery, the screen writer for the upcoming G.I.Joe Movie, the 3rd release in the franchise. Mr. Daugherty is also working on upcoming blockbusters such as Divergent and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
So what does he have to say about G.I.Joe 3? Here's a brief snippet from the article - When asked about Duke and whether he would have killed off the popular Joe in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Daugherty stated, "Would I have killed off Duke? It’s hard to say, you never know what process that went through to make that film. I don’t know, it’s hard to say, because sometimes killing off a character might make for a dramatic story." In terms of the next installment, he added, "What I’ll say for this new movie, what we’re trying to do- what I”m trying to do [as] a fan of the original cartoon in particular and the comic book as well; the comics are somewhat different than the cartoon. We’re just really trying to make a totally a great G.I. Joe movie which to me is about a lot of action but like a lot of fun with a sort of hint of sci-fi, an exciting world you’ve never been to, etc. I’m excited about what the next G.I. JOE Movie can be.” Mr. Daugherty appears excited for the next G.I.Joe film. What about you? Deep in the Australian outback flies a lone GI Joe copter "4500X" prowling for the enemy... but this copter isn't hunting for stranded COBRA troopers lost in the desert in a recent failed mission to establish a base. "4500X" was in fact shot down... crashed with no survivors. Where did this imposter come from as it hunts for prey that are "robots in disguise"?
Amazing. Flawless Victory. Mail it to me. These are all statements that come to mind when checking out the amazing G.I.Joe Transformers Crossover Decepticon Blackout custom made by Hisstank.com forum member Datstro. Using a G.I.Joe Eaglehawk as a base, you'd be hard pressed to tell that this was ever anything but a Decepticon Juggernaut. Here's a bit of background on the character Blackout from the TFWiki - The massive Blackout has been described as the "hound" of Megatron. In better days he was always to be found looming powerful and silent behind his leader's right shoulder. When given a target he hunts it down with fierce determination. Blackout is not happy with the progress Starscream is making towards finding the missing Decepticon leader. He suspects (quite rightly) that Starscream would prefer Megatron to stay lost. Blackout is openly mutinous and will challenge Starscream's leadership at any opportunity, not for his own sake, but to better serve his ultimate goal of finding his lost master. Blackout has a sneaky side and uses his symbiotic companion Scorponok's small size to great advantage. Once in a while, a part of G.I.Joe's rich history, be it in toy or art form, appears for us to ooh and aah at. This piece is definitely no different. In 1987, G.I.Joe fans were introduced to the M.C.C., or Mobile Command Center. This massive play set became an instant hit, with it's multiple play features, from a repair bay to radar station, elevator and more.
Our friend KrymsynGardImmoral has unearthed a photo transparency that shows the iconic M.C.C., but in a drab/olive green that closely resembles other vehicles released throughout the lines history, such as the V.A.M.P., RAM, A.W.E. Striker, etc. You can view more awesome images via his blog, the 788th Armored Division. Was this piece originally intended to be green or released later in this color scheme? Well, that's a question that'll hopefully be answered in the future. For now, enjoy the images and join in on the speculation with us after the jump.... [Read More] |
