Great news from Hisstank.com forum member [url=http://www.hisstank.com/forum/members/planckepoch.html[PlanckEpoch[/url]. Sideshow Collectibles DESTRO figure is now arriving on doorsteps! Fans of the scale have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the Cobra Arms Dealer and that time has finally arriveed!
PlanckEpoch has posted a large gallery of images that you can check out after the break. - Sideshow Collectibles Exclusive Sixth Scale Destro Destro Sixth Scale Figure Hailing from a long line of savvy war profiteers, we are proud to introduce the next adversary in our G.I. Joe Sixth Scale Collection, the Destro – Weapons Supplier Sixth Scale Figure! As a fascinating foil to the megalomaniac Cobra Commander, behind the beryllium steel mask lies a shrewd arms dealer who walks the line between evil-doer and man of integrity. Regardless of his true agenda, Destro aids the COBRA terrorist organization in many of its missions in world domination, with the lovely Baroness at his side. We have outfitted Laird Destro in a hand-tailored costume, complete with vest and long jacket for warmth in the Scottish Highlands, and around his neck hangs the remarkable McCullen ruby medallion, a treasured family heirloom. The head of M.A.R.S. Industries comes aptly equipped with an array of deadly, technologically advanced gear and accessories, including COBRA weapon blueprints and a satellite location tracking device. Always prepared for dangerous situations, Destro keeps a chrome pistol harnessed at his side, and a laser pistol concealed behind a secret panel in his communications case. His arm gauntlets house both miniature wrist rockets and hand grenades, signature examples of his cutting edge technology that pack enough punch to knock out a combat helicopter. SIDESHOW EXCLUSIVE VERSION The Exclusive Destro Sixth Scale Figure will include an alternative swap-out head, for a more realistic interpretation of ‘the man in the iron mask’ (shown above left). Both the Exclusive and regular versions of Destro are priced at $179.99, with payment plans available for as low as $60.00/month. Plan on adding Destro to your collection? Let us know by joining in on the discussion in progress after the break. Sideshow Collectibles Exclusive Sixth Scale Destro... [Read More] |

Sideshow has announced that they will not have any new offerings on display at San Diego Comic Con 2014. Check it out - "Sorry to disappoint GI Joe fans with this but there will not be any GI Joe news at SDCC this year. Hopefully something in 2015!" -SSC Alex Does this mean the line will be on a long hiatus at Sideshow? Only time will tell, but there's still hope for next year as noted by Alex from SSC! Our friends at 3D Joes are steadily compiling each and every G.I.Joe A Real American Hero action figure, accessory and vehicle ever released! They've just added the 1988 Motorized Action Packs to their line up! Check it out -
After the success of the 1987 Motorized Action Packs, Hasbro doubled down on the concept in 1988 by releasing 11 new Action Packs and Vehicle Packs. From motorized double spinning machine guns to gyrocopters with working rotor blades, ATVs with working wheels, and scuba packs with spinning propellers - this year had it all! I remember playing with some of these as a kid and they were just flat out fun accessories that enriched playtime. Ah the good old days, when toys were all about playability! Cobra has been quietly abducting people with psychic potential, indoctrinating them with their venomous methodologies, empowering them with their psi-amplifiers, and controlling them with their neural disruptors. This burgeoning army of psions can change the very fabric of reality, but Cobra makes one fatal mistake—they abduct Tommy Talltree, the brother of Franklin Talltree, AKA Airborne. The Joes launch a world-wide search for their missing brethren, and Global Warfare erupts!
Can the rock-solid-but-conventional weaponry of the G.I. JOE Steel Brigade contend with brainwashed psychic soldiers? Is Airborne’s helicopter chaingun a match for Cesspool, the toxic CEO? Find out in “Mind Over Family Matters,” the exciting Global Warfare event launching today! Please note that Global Warfare has changed! * It is now a five-day event! As a result... * The group schedule (for possible demotions and promotions) has changed! See the schedule below! * The best event points (and the greatest challenges) will be found in all win-streak battles that are multiples of 3 (battle 3, 6, 9, 12, and so on)! * Retreating from a map NO LONGER resets your win-streak to zero! Group Times (PDT) Term 1 - June 19, Event Start -- June 20, 9AM Term 2 - June 20, 9AM -- June 20, 9PM (12 hours) Term 3 - June 20, 9PM -- June 21, 9AM (12 hours) Term 4 - June 21, 9AM -- June 21, 9PM (12 hours) Term 5 - June 21, 9PM -- June 22, 9PM (24 hours) Term 6 - June 22, 9PM -- June 23, 9PM (24 hours) Term 7 - June 23, 9PM -- June 24, 3PM (18 hours) PLEASE NOTE that there is a TWO-HOUR calculation period before each group term closes! During that time you can still initiate PvP battles and earn points that will affect your final ranking, but those points will not affect your standing within your upcoming groups. Good luck on the Battleground!... [Read More] |

Earlier this weekend at Botcon, the Transformers Collectors Club held their roundtable discussion in which they revealed their 2015 subscription service figures. One notable reveal was for Serpent O.R. from the DDP GI Joe VS Transformers series! The name is subject to change. The figure is a repaint of TakaraTomy's exclusive Generations Ratbat, which itself was a repaint of Generations Scourge with an all new head. Serpent O.R. will have mixed Decepticon/Cobra hybrid faction symbols printed on.
News of this comes our way from our sister site TFW2005. Stay tuned for more Botcon 2014 coverage as the weekend progresses!... [Read More] |

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura states that there are practical limitations when it comes to do a Live Action Movie based on a Transformers/G. I. Joe Crossover.
During an interview with the producer, a question was asked regarding the possibility of a Transformers/G. I. Joe Live Action Movie Crossover. To which, the producer replied: "No, we haven't spent a moment on it. I know they did it in the comic books, but I think the reality that we're looking at is...it's hard enough to figure out how to do it alone and [then] trying to figure out how to do it together...I don't think that it's as organic as people think. I know a lot of the fans feel that way and I don't think they're wrong. I find it a harder thing to do, think about trying to combine the schedules of all the different people. So, that alone will probably stop us."... [Read More] |

Fantastic news came in this weekend from our friend Mr. Kit Lau and our friends at Oritoy. For those of you that are fans of the Acid Rain World line of Military Action Figures and Vehicles, then get ready - Kit announced this weekend that the Speeder Mk I, aka RAPTOR, is now ready!
Raptor is the nickname given to the Speeder Mk I by the Marine Soldiers. The production of Raptor originated from the defects and inadequacies of the ST-1 Stronghold. Since the time that the Stronghold was mass produced, several several problems were identified. Although Stronghold’s firepower is particularly strong, its speed and defensive ability have become its fatal flaw. To cope with the anti-tank soldiers and the above problems, the strategy of the Marines must be adjusted. As such, an easy to control, flexible, fast and with a certain standard of firepower machine guard came to exist. With the development of Speeder Mk. II has become mature, the Raptor has become less active on the battlefield. Given it’s still reliable nature, it can be found on many battlefields, although it is not the main combat platform used. The Raptor will also come with it's own Pilot, which appears to have a new head and/or helmet. We will of course share more images with you as they become available and will definitely share a review once the Raptor is available for purchase and we're able to secure one. Don't forget, you can always check out the reviews we have up if you haven't heard of the line before, or if you're still on the fence.

After the possible confirmation of G. I. Joe 3 release in 2016, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura states that the film will begin shooting in early 2015.
Speaking to Collider, the producer said: "G.I. Joe 3 we are trying to get going, starting early next year…I think it’ll be a little later than [January]. I think February or March is probably more realistic. We were originally shooting for January and I think it’s slid a little bit, but you never know. It’s still a little too early to tell yet." The producer confirmed that they don’t yet have a director, but the search has just begun in earnest: "We’re just starting [to talk to directors]. We’re negotiating with a writer right now, and once we close that deal—which should be any moment—then we’ll have a story locked down. I’m really excited about it."
