HISS Tank.com boards member slang provides the first review of Destro from the fan-favorite G.I. Joe Resolute series! This version of Destro is accurate to the animation model, with some features now shown in the cartoon, such as the removable and swappable robotic arm. Was it something designed but not used, or something to be used later on?
One thing is for certain, fans want more Resolute products, and speaking of which, click on the title bar to see how this figure looks, and click on the discuss button below to see how it turned out! |

Toyslandco has posted images of all new Combat Heroes figures from the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra toy line. These new sets include:
Could this set of figures be a sign of things to come? Most of these characters are not only in the Combat Heroes line, but also in the main movie figure collection, even the Para-Viper. Could Storm Shadow in the suit and this Ice-Viper with a different helmet show up in the main 3-3/4" line? Click on the title bar to see the new sets! |

IGN has updated their blog with a post about the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra video game. This post was written by Matt Marsala, senior producer for Electronic Arts. New characters such as Tunnel Rat and Kamakura were mentioned:
In addition to the five core G.I. JOE characters from the film (Duke, Scarlett, Heavy Duty, Ripcord, and Snake Eyes), we also included four COBRA bosses (Storm Shadow included) that unlock as playable characters after you’ve defeated them. The rest of the character set is rounded out by some other classic characters, including Kamakura, Shipwreck, and Gung-Ho, among others. There are also about a dozen more supporting non-playable characters that will help keep the story moving along, provide you with support in sticky situations, and give you info on the enemies you’ll encounter along the way. This includes characters like General Hawk, Tunnel Rat, Breaker, and Wild Bill, to name a few. A blueprint from Hasbro for a modern day H.I.S.S. Tank toy was also found: What would a G.I. JOE game be without the inclusion of the H.I.S.S. tank?? As an added bonus, as we were combing through some of the reference sent to us by Hasbro, we stumbled upon blueprints for a modern day version of the H.I.S.S. tank that had never been manufactured as a toy. I’m not sure how long these plans had been sitting around, but once we saw them, we knew we had to add it to the game. So, for the first time ever, you’ll see a vehicle designed by Hasbro that has never seen by the outside world. I have to say, it’s pretty bad-ass! Could this be the H.I.S.S. Tank from G.I. Joe Resolute that was confirmed to make an appearance in this game? Or could this be something else entirely? More importantly, is this a sign that the Resolute H.I.S.S. Tank will be released in the movie toy line as a bravo or larger class vehicle? Other vehicles shown include the Snow Cat(similar to the original but with a different paint job), and the Cougar. Macca428 has posted new images of the Cobra Lamprey from the Defense of Cobra Island 7-pack. Vehicles and their drivers were a popular component of the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero toy line, and while vehicles are few and far between in the Modern Era line, the drivers remain in demand.
While the Lamprey has yet to have a Modern Era Moray Hydrofoil to drive around, the Lamprey manages to be a highly anticipated figure on it's own. With removable gear, details and sculpt surpassing the original, this figure comes in the most demanded set of the year, so far. Hasbro last used the Moray Hydrofoil mold during the Valor VS Venom line as a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. With retailers preparing for the onslaught of movie merchandise, could the Moray Hydrofoil possibly return this year as an exclusive? After all, a driver without a vehicle just doesn't seem complete. HISS Tank.com boards member alexan2dros has posted new images of his recently acquired Alley Viper. It's of the most popular Viper designs from the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero toy line, and more than 20 years later nothing has changed; it's still a fan-favorite. This new figure does it justice, with numerous weapons, and accessories, some that were sculpted on the original figure are now removable.
Arguably the most popular trooper from the Defense of Cobra Island 7-pack, this figure is proving to be worth the wait. The long wait for pre-orders to go up. Click on the title bar to see more images of what very well might be the best Cobra figure of the Modern Era line! |
