the CG set was wave one, so unless a store still has them, it will not be in this wave. That said, there is a chance they could put it in another wave, but I don't see that happening much of ever with exclusives.

What is the general consensus on the appeal of the packing for the 25th line?

The box design/art is really the whole reason I got attracted to collecting Joes again in the first place. If they hadn't gone with the iconic design there is no way I would have bought one (or.. well all so far). Too many horrid memories of .. well everything since 1994.

When I noticed the new figures coming with the white border instead of the silver w/25th logo I was a little disappointed as I thought the silver was a nice touch. Though, in truth it was past the "25th" anniversary so I guess they had to do something eh

Now that the Resolute figures are out, with yet another revision to the packaging (which I still bought), how many changes are people going to go with before the figures lose that "nostalgic" quality that caused me to start collecting in the first place?

I know for me if they start going with a Battle Corps design or whatever I'm outta here I'm not hardcore into collecting everything *yet..* and really only the 80's era Joes (and new ones inspired by..) appeal to me.

I am curious how the movie figure are going to look... but what do you'all think?

The re-releases of harder to find toys on white when their first release was silver = hell for MOC collectors

I definitely dug the silver border look better

Yeah, when they changed some of the older figures to white border cards, I wanted to get them all over again. My wallet had the final say in that, though. I'd be broke if I bought them.

Anyways, I definitely like the silver foil cards better.

A five pack of black mask, red logo Cobra troopers. No red masks, no silver logos, no officer cluttering up the joint, no BS. Five of the exact same figure from the original 5-pack.

Posted on HISS tank but I'll up my post count here by saying:

I don't really care about the packaging unless it gets really ridiculous but I like that they went the extra mile to actually make individual cards with character images instead of generic ones.

Through the life of a toy line there are bound to be changes to the package to keep it "fresh" in the eyes of the retailer. (Think the JLU line.)

I actually have grown fond of the white border ones since they seem cleaner. Plus they seem to show more of the character art. I compared a HISS tank driver on both cards and the silver card is more of a close up on the image where the white card image is pulled back and shows more of the character.

I preferred the silver border as well, though I don't care about the mixing of the two in my collection. They're still carded Joes and the ones I own with the white border have never been released with the silver anyway (at least for now).

My line of thinking was: those are reissues (cause they kinda are, in a way re-release it on different cards all you want, they are not 25th, so I don't need doubles)

I gotta say me exception is 25th Snake eyes with timber

I have MOSC:
the regular wave 1 25th
Black Timber wave 1 25th
Fixed crotch 2 peg 25th
white card 25th re release.

I don't have the foil backed one, though. Need that someday, maybe.
Don't tell me there is any more variants... I dont wanna know haha
