Just the other day we noted that our friends from Boss Fight Studio would be in attendance at Roll Out Roll Call 4 in Southampton, UK. Teaser images have been posted over the last few days of the exclusive print they would have available to attendees of the Con on Facebook.
Tonight they've posted the full piece in all it's glory. It's absolutely stunning and something that attendees will definitely enjoy adding to their collections. From Boss Fight: At next month's Roll Out Roll Call we will be selling an exclusive print to attendees of the con. I've been teasing it all week but now feel the need to put it out there in full. It's only in inked stage right now and the final prints will be in full color with titles and words and candy (there won't actually be any candy. Don't hold me to that). So with out further adieu: An Action Force homage to the first issue of GI Joe. Much thanks and admiration go to Herbe Trimpé and Bob McLeod. You can check out the full size image after the jump. Will you be at Roll Out Roll Call 4? Make sure to sound off and see who else will be there with you!... [Read More] |

The SDCC 2014 Cross Over Exclusive has been announced...
Just kidding. It's hard to tell the difference between Hisstank.com forum member and mighty Ginger Customizer KrymsynGardImmoral's custom Decepticon Combaticon Blast-Off and something that you would expect to receive via mass release. The deco fits the G.I.Joe Crusader itself well and the piece would be a great addition to the G.I.Joe/Transformers Cross Overs that Hasbro has offered us as San Diego Comic Convention Exclusives over the last few years. Here's a brief blurb from KGI: A repaint I did of a junker Crusader. The color was a lot "browner" on the can lid, and it is a bit darker in person than it appears in the pics, but it still doesn't match the vintage 100%. Check out more images and share your thoughts with us after the jump.... [Read More] |

I don't know about you, but I LOVE Mechs! Especially when they're executed like the Cobra WURM and Bore Viper, created by Hisstank.com forum member Shinobitron. This isn't your father's Buzz Boar! This transforming Cobra Mech is definitely going to mean trouble for the G.I.Joe team!
From the files of Cobra Command: The Cobra WURM (Weaponized Underground Recon Mech) is designed for getting into enemy bases via underneath. The mech has interchangable weaponry that serves a multitude of tasks such as drilling debris removal and of course anti personal devices. The WURM not only is a mobile suit for the Bore Viper but has the ability to transform in to a tunneling machine for quicker digs. The vehicle can be piloted inside or by remote control. DeNA continues pulling from the diverse character art styles available, showcasing Spirit in both his Direct to Consumer/Image look and his Pursuit of Cobra style that was reminiscent of Billy from Predator. It's with heavy heart that we share this information. The G.I.Joe Club has posted official word that Mr. Sam Petrucci, former G.I.Joe packaging artist, has passed away this week at the young age of 86.
Sam’s career spanned six decades. One of his earliest clients was the Hassenfeld Brothers Toy Company, for whom he illustrated many game and toy packages including Mr. Potato Head, and the Superman, Mighty Hercules and The Banana Splits board games. Most significantly, he designed the original logo and boxes for Hasbro’s G.I. Joe line of toys. A memorial service to honor Sam will be held at a future date. He enjoyed watching the manatees swim around Fort Pierce, so memorial contributions may be left in his name to The Manatee Observation and Education Center, 480 N. Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce FL 34950, www.manateecenter.com/index.php/support You can read more about the the incredible Mr. Petrucci on the G.I.Joe Club site. We here at Hisstank.com offer are most sincere condolences to Mr. Petrucci's friends, family and all of those negatively impacted by this loss. Yo Joe, Mr. Petrucci. May you rest in peace.... It was 20 years ago that Hasbro introduced a new sub team to the G.I.Joe Universe known as Star Brigade. Taking the battle to the stars, both G.I.Joe and Cobra factions were fitted with uniforms and vehicles that would allow them to continue their war in the depths of space.
The Star Brigade line included many different elements, from re-imagined named characters Like Roadblock and Cobra Commander to new Armor Tech Figures like the Cobra B.A.A.T.. The line also had cool vehicles, but one of them stood out among them all, both literally and figuratively - The G.I.Joe Star Brigade Armor Bot. This beast of a vehicle was the largest released at that time and was the first real mech style suit outside the Cobra SNAKE that had ever been available for purchase. Although it was highly detailed, it's articulation was limited. It's highly unlikely that this piece would ever be re-released or re-introduced somewhere down the road. Hisstank.com forum member and customizer extraordinaire Tankster has thankfully taken matters in to his own hands and has brought the Armor Bot screaming in to 2013, with modern articulation and detailing that we have all come to expect from Tankster and his amazing customs.
