Galactus at TRU Canada (finally)

MU GALACTUS (MUA variant) is now available at TRU in Canada for $69.99. Pretty awesome but strange considering its 1 year late hitting our shelves (orig. release Oct 2010). Very expensive compared to US retailers but easily better than prices on ebay.

Though I wonder why Hasbro selected the variant over the classic version for retail; perhaps due to poor sales / overstock elsewhere over the past year. But I don't mind, the MUA version looks better anyways!

Whoa I would like to get one of those!! And yes I agree the MUA looks def. better! That's the one without Silver Surfer and is carded like a regular MU correct?

No its the one in the same box as the original with a translucent Silver Surfer and this Galactus COOL TOY REVIEW

I go to a Local-ish Toyshow twice a year. Also there is Fan Expo is Toronto along with some Transformer conventions and Toy Expos too.

hopefully this is the start to them regularly starting to stock NEW single carded MU figures for the holiday rush....im not holding my breath but crossing my fingers anyways.

It's very odd because I've seen the new MU 3-4packs of Avengers,x-force,fantastic 4. But not once did I see any Gigantic battle sets, sentinel or Galactus. will have to keep an eye out. $70 is a little high, but a lot of plastic and sculpting detail for the price. Plus silver surfer figure.

That's great news but it sucks that it's $20 more expensive than in the states. Was it not worth buying from HTS or Big Bad when it came out? The last package that size I sent to the great white north cost me $32 so I would understand why you guys would wait to find things at retail.

Oh ok never mind than thanks for clearing it up for me though. I want the one that looks just like the regular carded MU figures. Just looks cooler for me and easier to show case.

I got my galactus when amazon when a seller dropped his price to $20 with free shipping. It sucks u guys had to wait up there in Canada but at least you got free health care lol that's something usa don't have yet lmao

WTF, are you serious? That would've been awesome. I have the variant, bought it for a good price on eBay a while back, but there is a big scratch going down the side of the box because I wasn't being careful enough when I opened the box it was shipped in.

yea I watched his price for like two weeks n I was jus gonna wait till he got under 40 bucks but he dropped it drastically from 42 to 20 so I bought it brand new he emailed me later telling me he just needed to get rid of it n there was nothing wrong with it

my tru express has 2 MU galactus in btw. i already have both versions though so...yah...still nice ot see them up here

Yeh, this is great news, and to any people in the states, the reason we hold off buying from ebay or amazon, is because despite the "cheap" selling price, shipping would be just as equal if not more then the buying price. Especially when the box is like 20'' long ....and weighs a few pounds. If I found him retail I may get him, but I do already have the baf version from ML. Even though this 1 is larger and has sounds and a silver surfer. $70 is a lot to swallow, considering I could get a whole wave of MU figures/and or a rare IM figure to add to my collection like a series 1 stealth variant.
