As a fledgling customizer, I've been trying new ways to create new characters yet to be done by Hasbro. I've done some of the usual repaints as well as a customed Doc Doom with a real fabric cape/hood poncho combo. I was wondering though with some of the ideas I have, can someone explain to be how to remove safely arms and legs off Marvel 3 3/4 figures as well as GI JOES? Working of a Crossbones and a Kraven the Hunter and could really use the tip. Thanks.

You have to pop the torso.

I know that the method for opening 25th Joe torsos is over in HissTank (do not have the thread handy). I use an exacto blade and cut teh seam under the armpit on both sides. Once you have cut thru the peg, it is easy to pop the torso. This removes the upper torso from lower torso and also opens the cavity that the shoulders sit in. The method also works on the MU figures and is actually easier (on the Goblin and Capt figure I used this on). Make sure that you test fit your new shoulders before gluing the torso back together as they do not all fit perfectly.

Good luck on this. Cannot wait to see Kraven.
