I couldn't find a general discussion thread for this line, so if I missed it, please just merge this with that or whatever.

The COD Mega Bloks line is easily the best line of toys I've had the joy of playing with since I got back into Joes in 2007. It's so nice to have a military based line again, and with the added bonus of being buildable with customization in mind.

I started with the the snowmobile, and I'm absolutely crazy about the little Alpine Rangers that come in the arctic sets. My girlfriend got me the Seals army builder too(great friggin' choice, those figure-only packs) for Christmas, and I finally worked my way to getting the Alpine Rangers pack and finally the Chopper Strike. That Frank Woods figure is absolutely BALLER.

Suffice to stay, I am absolutely ecstatic over these toys. I think the Light Armor Outpost is next on my buy-list.

Oddly enough, we don't have an official MegaBloks thread at all (mostly just news items). So we're fine with this one. Might expand it to cover more than just the COD license, though.

As for the COD minifigs, I think they're amazing. I've only picked up the snowmobile and the missile launcher drone sets, but I'm very impressed. I'm not sure how much further I want to go down in this rabbit hole, but I'm really eyeing that Desert troop-builder set as my next purchase.

I still have picked up the drone, if that's the one you're talking about. I want it though. I just snagged the Light Armor Outpost. I needed a transport and am finally playing through Black Ops, so I wanted Mason. While my Woods had basically perfect paint applications, Mason's eyes were kind of goofy, and looking at the new WWII based ones, this seems to be the rule and not an exception. That's a bummer since it's harder to touch up the plastic on these little guys than a GI Joe. So, keep that in mind if you buy a set with one of these guys.

Otherwise, I'm still loving it. The builds are really nice and sturdy, and you can't go wrong with the troop builder packs. I think the Dome base or whatever it's called is my next purchase. Gotta station my dudes somewhere.

P.S. totally up for turning this into a mega bloks thread, I've recently gotten into the Halo stuff too so I have a lot to talk about

The new Mega Bloks COD stuff they showed at Toy Fair certainly got me excited. I think I will have to collect them all! Especially looking forward to the helicopter with Riley!

Big Mega Bloks fan in general! Their MAFs have always been great, but the new CoD style bodies are a real game changer. Awesome. Anybody still under the impression that MB are simply LEGO "knock-offs" really need to give their new lines a try. I am a wee bit concerned with the recent news of Mattel absorbing Mega Brands. To say I dislike Mattel's business template, would be putting it very mildly. Hopefully there will be no noticeable changes to MB's quality or excellent customer service.

*BTW, the new Halo sets coming out this Spring feature the new articulation and removable armor! Assassin's Creed sets are also on the way!

Just picked up a new $10 COD set. This one is called "Desert Outpost" and comes with a section of a building ruins. I couldn't find a pic on Mega Bloks' website for it and it wasn't even showing up in Target 's inventory (via their price scanner or at the register).

That said, it fits in perfectly with the Desert Trooper minifig pack and the Drone Attack set that I already bought. Now if I could only find my movie Scorponok, I could reenact a few scenes from the first TF movie.

I'll see if I can post a pic of it or the box later.

i stumble onto this line by accident,

i was looking at some HALO sets from MEGA to fill my GI Joe void
when i came across that Dome Battle Ground set and was hooked ever since

funny thing i don’t own or even play any of games
go figure

the trooper builders i got from TARGET, i notice that they gone up in price a tad
but since i got a lot of the bigger sets on sale during the holidays i pulled the trigger

i got the Ghost Fighters from TRU when they had their buy one get one 40% off promo
i been troop building the hell out that set of late

yeah that Ghillie sniper is sick,
the buy one get one 40% off, is a pretty good deal for troop builders like myself
i picked up 3 more Ghillies, 1 Juggernaut plus 2 Sam Turrets sets

I sold off all my Bloks stuff but those Astronaut army builder sets are hard to resist.
