hey guys, i'm trying to buy the miniature metal replica of howl's moving castle.

the cheapest i could find it on ebay is someone selling it in the us for 125 + shipping Studio Ghibli Museum Howl's Moving Castle Metal Figurine | eBay

my question is, is this a fair price for it? the studio ghibli museum doesn't have any prices displayed online. has anyone ever been there? what are their prices like? i might be visiting japan in the coming years, should i just wait and get it there or buy it off ebay?

That's really not a question that anyone can answer for you. Only you can really say if the juice is worth the squeeze on your end. In general it's fairly rare to find exported toys being sold in the US, so when you do see them on sites such as eBay, they're typically marked up pretty high. I suppose if it were me, I'd be more inclined to spend the extra money on an item from a US shipper, than buy it cheaper from someone overseas. My reasons for this would be;

1) I'll get it faster
2) It's cheaper to return if there is something wrong
3) Ensures I have buyer protection from PayPal
4) The person I'm buying it from (in most cases) will speak English to correspond with

Check the guy's feedback first though as I've had issues in the past with people saying they were in the US, but then shipped from China, Hong Kong, etc.

That's just my opinion.
