Agreed. When it relates to the movie figures, stores tend to overload on them. Only a matter of time before we will be overloaded with transformers, green lantern, captain america. There is already an abundance of thor and pirates of the caribbean.

I found one today at Wal-Mart. If it helps, his UPC code is 2708493259. He's number 11 in the series. Head sculpt is dead-on for that scale.

I found them today. Or the basics, at least. I think the complaining is a bit much. They're better than the fuss that's being generated. I especially liked Isomot.

I wouldn't say they're bad toys, just not good enough. Compare the 4" Iron Man 2 line to the Green Lantern line and tell me which one you think is better.

I honestly think that the articulation is the only thing that's better than the Iron Man 2 line.

The sculpts on the GL figs look good to me and screen accurate. Ryan Reynolds looks like Ryan Reynolds. The Sinestro fig even has the scar on his face as in the artwork from the movie and the trailer.

And though no one has mentioned it yet, even though Sinestro, Hal, and Abin Sur all have humanoid bodies, they are all entirely different sculpts in the fine details.

The paint apps look very neat across the board, as opposed to the Iron Man 2 line, which had a lot of sloppiness. The are a lot of different shades of green as there should be, and the ring is painted a darker green to make it more distinguished from the fist. Also, the figures don't have warped legs in the packages like some of the IM2 line. These figures feel a lot more solid to me.

Also, I like the amount of character variety we got on launch day. And the fact that we got a civilian Hal Jordan, when the IM2 line couldn't even release the Tony Stark they made.

And though it might be nothing much, I like the $6.99 price point. I know a lot of people thought $8.99 was ridiculous, and it is. But now that I've seen that $6.99 is the price at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Meijer, (I would think once Target carries the line it will be as well as their prices tend to be the same as Wal-Mart) it's obvious now that TRU is the company that decided to overcharge for these.

Then again, I don't get too upset with figures being bad or not. I'm just happy to get a 3 3/4" scale GL Corps at a decent price. Plus all these constructs are awesome.

Ugh. No amount of cool constructs or quality sculpting and paint can make up for a lack of real articulation. And this is coming from a guy that doesn't even care about ankle or chest articulation.

You pretty much summed up exactly how I feel.
On a toyline this small, articulation is not the be all end all. The only thing more I'd ask for from these, that Mattel shouldn't have left out, are elbow and knee joint.

The sculpts themselves are pleasing to me. Especially the aliens, like Isomot.
I was originally going to pass on these and focus on the Movie Masters... but these might suck me in as impulse buys on days I feel like "I need to buy something NEW!" but can find no TFs or DCUC.

Fair enough, but this is the point where I hear a Mattel rep saying "That's why we have Movie Masters," but the true solution would've been to have a single line that incorporates the best of both lines.

For GL I can let the articulation slide for some figures. Since that's my focus anyway on the line is to round out more corps members for my OA display, I'm fine with it.

But that's only because I already have a few GLs with articulation in that scale to put them with. So this line to me is just for ancillary characters. Characters that are just being used to fill up loose spots, and don't really matter. Though then again, ones like Kilowog or Arisia do matter.

I'm not a person to stress articulation but to me, these Green Lantern figures are junk.

From what I've seen all they're really missing to me is elbow and knee joints. Other than that they look great imo.

I agree with what some people have said. The sculpts and the paint apps on the 4" figures are actually pretty decent. The constructs are pretty darn cool too. The variety of characters is great (I've waited for a nice 3 3/4 scale Kilowog for so long). Even the packaging is nice.

The lack of knee and elbow joints (these would have been so easy for Mattel to add in) is what keeps this line from being absolutely great for me. I'll pick up a few to fill out my GL Corps, but overall they leave me feeling somewhat disappointed in what could have otherwise been a runaway success.

I've been formulating a theory... It seems that almost every one of these (Save for same character repaints) is a unique sculpted mold. Even those who share body types, like Sinestro and Hal.
Maybe Mattel cut the knee and elbow articulation to recoup some of the losses for so many brand new molds (Instead of repaints of the same basic figures, like Hasbro and Mattel do/did with MU and IH).

The little ring doesn't even make up fro the lack of articulation because it won't even fit an adult.

Basic articulation would be appreciated. Nothing like a Revoltech or a G.I. Joe but something.

Just saw these for the first time in person at TRU. Gotta agree with you guys on the sculpts, they look good and far better than Infinite Heroes. Clear that the budget went to the transforming constructs and regular construct weapons. I would've preferred less emphasis on those and more on artifulation. DCUC style legs, and at least ankles and elbows.

Movie masters looked good. Went from indifferent to maybe buying Hal. Price seems high for the size, especially the 2 packs. Best humanoid sculpt goes to Abin Sur so far and best alien might be that frog looking guy for now(Kilowog is best but won't be out til summer).

Chiming in, Yesterday at the Walmart in Bellbrook Ohio, off of wilmington, I discovered an endcap FILLED with Green Lantern movie figures. I almost bought on, because I want that ring they come with.

Does anyone know if they will sell Abin seperate, or is he a 2 packer only?
Abin is supposed to be exclusive to the Tru two packs, which means i'm gonna have to suck it up and buy that set too.

I finally saw them in stores, and they do look neat. Just not 8.99 neat at TRU.
If I can find the ones I want cheaper elsewhere, I may bite. For now, I'll just let my wallet rest until DOTM(Shockwave!!!), and MU come. It's been hard enough not biting on the Delicate Warrior Arcee figure as is.

I do love sinestro's swords though. The rings are neat. I just wish the alien figures were out more in force, as that's what I want moreso than characters I already have from DCIH.

They're 6.97 at Wal-Mart but they're pretty slim pickings. I got Kilowog, Sinestro, Abin Sur, and Test Pilot Hal. They didn't even have Hal in his GL uniform. The Kilowog and Sinestro are pretty awesome though.
