Green alternative to plastics: liquid wood - Frontiers - MSNBC.com

AN interesting thought on where the plastic industry could be heading.

It will be interesting to see where this goes and what, if any, effect it has on the toy-making industry.

I can only imagine a world that uses a eco-friendly, cheap, and otherwise discarded material (lignin) to make toys. This article says it is popular in Europe, so I anxiously await what happens specifically with Lego, because those are made in Denmark (where they were created and still produced today!).

As for other toy companies, until this process comes over to Asia, I can't see it having an effect.

I wonder what it feels like in comparison to regular plastic?
