Trebleshot! Maybe you can help me out.

Where would I go if I wanted to price-check stuff first?

...and for those who want to get straight to the meat & potatoes, here's the shit I'm trying to sell off. I'm just not seeing enough of these on eBay to come up with a good average sale price for them, so I figured some o' y'all might be able to help out.

Well, besides Evil Bay, there's Collector Action Figures. You have to register with the site in order to see price listings, but it's free and they cover a wide range of toy lines.

You could also hit up the bookstore/comic shop for Toyfare and the like. They may not always list the collections you're interested in and their pricing may be off in some cases, but at the very least it may give you some numbers to work with.

Any other Arkers care to chime in on this?

While I definitely appreciate the sentiment, I think this is a "your mileage may vary" issue. Our local vintage store (Maryland area) usually lowballs the fuck out of sellers...but then the mark things up very oddly - some stuff gets marked up like 500% while other things get sold off for pocket change. I wish I could use this guy's store as a price reference, but he seems to pick and choose the prices...and not always according to market interest.

Very true. For those, you really need to shop around before you can find a reliable place. Some might even be really on the ball with comics and TPBs, but suck when it comes to non-comic collectibles.

It's mostly just a starting point and other sources will quickly tell you if that shop is lowballing sellers or ripping off their customers.

This site is pretty rad. Thank you for pointing it out to us. Wifey and I were prowling through it and I noticed that we could easily empty a bank account or two if we stayed on there long enough.

EDIT: the LOL icons don't work over here. Oops.

Yeah, we're still the baby of the family. We're hoping once when we get big and strong Tony will increase our allowance.
