I know Guardians of the Galaxy way back when before they had these uniforms and was comprised of Charlie, Yondu, Major Vance Astro and Martinex. Later Starhawk, Firelord, a female Yellowjacket and some others joined. I've only seen Drax the Destroyer and Rocket Raccoon a few times in the comics. Most notable was Drax who looked like Ming the Mercilous on the Venom steroid that created Bane and was green and purple with gold skull accents.

picked it up on friday. and I gotta tell you, Rocket is a disapointment in person. I knew his arms would not have any articulation, but that still didnt stop the hit of disapointment. the head and detail and the tail moving are great, I just wish his arms werent in their lame "strike a pose" look. his gun is awesome, and for Rocket Raccoon, he should atleast have enough articulation to hold it in 2 hands. then you could put that big honking whatsits that punisher comes with for even bigger gun.

Starlord is fantastic, but missing a great ingredient. he needs holsters. Drax is great and I was suprised he had knife holsters. he is now posed in the very traditional Kratos pose as he is the Green Kratos of Marvel

Is it wrong that I know who they are and still have no interest in owning them? No offense to those into this version of the Guardians. but if they do Drax in is 80s-90s costume I might buy him but no one else

nah. when I mean picked it up, I ment post office. got it from that ebay listing that was selling them cheaper than the other online stores, and since I've only ever seen the Avengers 3pack in the wild, I picked it up. I dont mind paying a lil extra with gas prices the way they are. it balances out

Yeah, I liked the big bulky Mongul looking Drax, not the new Kratos looking version.

I got my set in the mail and Starlord is officially my FAVORITE MU figure!!! Everything about this set is just perfect. They could probably end MU right now and I'd be satisfied!

They were Marvel's most badass team- Rocket there took on Gladiator...with a mop and Phionex's telepathy making the mop look like a bigass gun.
Drax ripped Thanos' heart out, with his mare hands! Best death scene EVER.

Groot is a massive tree man that occasionally gets killed, but if even a small cutting of him remains, he can grow back (thus thte potted plant routine there).

And Starlord there...one of the funniest and fun characters of all time.

The best team ever.

Just got mine from BBTS now- Looove Starlord but they should have made his helmet removable!

So I did.

I bought a nice Han Solo figure for the head (the ESB version looks perfect for Peter Quill and not much like Harrison Ford anyway) and I have him holding his helmet.
Really makes the figure!

I Dullcoated Drax for a huge improvment.

Rocket is perfect, though I wish his head moved.

Groot is cool and comic-perfect, if not too fun to pose.

And lastly, I'm 90% done with a Mantis custom to go with these- I was just waiting to see the exact shades of red and blue in the uniform before painting that part!

Rocket's head does move! It's on a ball. I've got a good alt head for Starlord, too. I'll try to get a pic up later.

HA! Brilliant! Great minds think alike, and all that noise.
Love that Cozmo too! I've been looking at dog figurines but have not found one the perfect size...
Got try Rocket's head again- I was afraid to force it.

It's from an old Star Wars comic pack. It's an Imperial Officer with Amanaman (or some random member of his species).

He looks a bit sickly to me (might just be the light...or Peter's hung over again).

Wait, this is supposed to be THAT Drax?!?

I just figured it was supposed to be some newer character with the same name, ah well.

Each time DRax is killed and brought back, he's different: he was all retarded before because his first incarnation siffered brain death at Moondragon's hands *they're cool now- long story).

And Drax was around before Kratos.

My turn at a Guardians group shot!

Now I just need to finish mantis, scratch up Moondragon, Bug, Gamora, Phyla-Vell, Jack Flag, Cozmo and modify the upcoming adam warlock into his Guardians outfit and I'll be all done.

Piece of cake. (dies)

No- that's a ESB Han Solo that I'm useing- looks perfect for Peter Quill (and not like Harrison Ford).
I had to sand down the pivot joint ball thinger a bit to get the head down to the right height, otherwise his neck s waay too long.

Pretty easy fix to make the fig look great, though!

what? No comments on that great base? No idea what it's from, but it works nicely, right?

Oh! I also Dullcoated Drax- really does wonders for him not to be so shiney!

Ah I see.

My only real experience with him was during Infinity Gauntlet as well as a few cameos around that same time.
