any news on a release date? i haven't heard anything from ToyFreakz since i pre-ordered this thing in February 2012. delay upon delay and it is well over a year later now and no information given by anyone and no information to be found on the net. they have my $250 for over a year now and i'm still hanging in the wind!

It has been released. As stated in the news post, it is in stock right now at Robot Kingdom. If other sites haven't gotten their shipments yet, they likely will very soon.

it says in stock but it also says, in big yellow letters in the header that it is a pre-order and i've found with robot kingdom that pre-orders with them typically read in stock. toyfreakz doesn't even have a listing anymore and no info that it is in stock with them, and that's where i bought it from. i hope you are right and robotkingdom's label of pre-order is wrong and it is actually out...that means i should get it one of these months. =)

I wasn't aware of RK's system. Good info to know, thanks. Best thing to do is email Toyfreakz and ask them for a status update. I wish you luck.

Hi Guys
I'm new to this board. Here's what I know:
1) The Vehicle Voltron has been released sometime in July.
2) There were a lot of QC issues with this toy. They have released 3 batches so far. The most recent seems to have fixed all the QC problems.
3) ToyFreakz, has been taking pre-orders since April 2012 and still have not been about to deliver. They have been hyping it up in the US, but have not been providing any concrete updates.
4) I bought mine from Chimungmung in HK. Pretty cooling looking toy. The robot is just too heavy and suffers due to all the things they want it to do (Modes and transformations).
5) Per WEP (Owners of the Voltron License), there is a legal case going on with MP regarding the licensing and distribution. I guess it wasn't suppose to be released until that was resolved?

In any case, it looks like there might be a longer wait for new parts.

FYI - Toyfreakz has been unresponsive to e-mails. It took 4-5 emails to get some type of reply. I finally just cancelled my pre-order and went with one from another retailer.

Hey, I bought this from toyercity for 2nd version. i still get a minor QC problem that duplicated a part. They can resend me so fast. This is really a great toy
