I never have and for the most part everything they've sent me has still been great on both paint apps and no damage to the packaging. There may be some benefit to paying the extra, but if there is I don't know about it.

If you're an MISB/MOSC collector, then maybe do the upgrade. If not, then don't even bother. Even if you have an issue, you can contact Joel and he's really good at helping fix problems.

I bought two Marvel Select figs, one was standard and the other was collector grade. They both looked the same to me. The collector grade was wrapped in extra plastic. BBTS does a great job of packaging them that I really don't think it is necessary.

Hi! New here to the forums. Long time toy collector. BBTS is a great place to buy from. I've never upgraded to collector when purchasing though and everything I've been sent has looked great. With the exception of my Marvel Select Hulk... the cardboard flap-part of the package was a worn and doesn't stick to the box anymore. :\ Other than that the figure looks perfect. I keep my stuff unopened, btw.

"Collector's Grade" (from BBTS) & "Mint Pacakging" (from TFsource) are worthwhile if you're seriously concerned about the *perfection* of the figure's box.
While in most cases C9 is fine for me, CG or Mint may net you some of the finest packages for MISB collectors.

Is it worth the extra few bucks though? I guess that's up to you, but I'm sure they wouldn't offer it if people were ordering them & happy with their purchases.

Just my two cents...
