My only concern with the 6" line is that, unlike the neverending Star Wars line, they will abandon it after 2023 once the new film has come and gone, just like they did with the Ghostbusters Plasma series line. There's still some key characters we need in this line before Hasbro kills it.. especially the other female characters from the films (Willie, Elsa) and major villains like Belloq and Mola Ram. Henry Jones Sr. is also a must have. Hasbro would also be foolish not to offer some potential army builders too like Cairo German Soldiers from Raiders or Thugee Guards from Temple of Doom. I know I'd buy 2-3 of each of those.

Sadly I expect between lukewarm sales at retail and no new film or other media to continue to support interest after 2023, the line will fizzle out fast after one year.

Based on the livestream comments, it sounds like wave 2 will be Temple of Doom Indy, Short Round, Shirtless Indy, along with Indy and Helena from Indy 5. They are overloading these first waves with way too many Indy variants though and not enough other characters. 3 Indy figures in wave 2 is just stupid. We should be getting Mola Ram or Willie before that Temple of Doom shirtless Indy figure that probably very few people would even care about other than completists.

One comment they subtly made about the wrapped package Grail diary that comes with Professor Indy was that we'll see the unwrapped diary with a future figure. So that at least promises more figures beyond wave 2... and hopefully it comes with a Henry Sr. (assuming there's no issues with getting Sean Connery's likeness rights for a figure as some people have speculated might be a problem now).

As for the Kenner reproduction line, THIS is how they should have done it with the Kenner Star Wars figures. No fake weathering on the cardbacks or obnoxiously huge "RETRO" sticker covering up half the card art. These all look beautiful, and it's a great way to get many of these vintage figures that go for crazy prices on Ebay. The original Raiders line was only 9 figures total (or 11 if you count the Cairo Indy in the Map Room playset and Monkey Man in the Streets of Cairo playset), so it would be so easy for Hasbro to reproduce the entire line. What I'm REALLY curious about is them saying they plan to do Kenner-inspired figures of characters never made back then and I wonder if this is just limited to Raiders of the Lost Ark only. The only major one we never got in the Raiders line was Marion in her Cairo outfit (other than the pre-posed version hiding in a basket in the Cairo playset). But if they plan to extend it beyond Raiders, it would be awesome to get Kenner versions of Temple of Doom Indy, Short Round, Mola Ram, Willie, Elsa, Donovan, and Henry Sr.

If they do any vehicles it will probably be a $200 Haslab for Raiders Indy (wearing gloves) and the horse.

They could so easily offer a deluxe Indy/horse set as a retail/Pulse exclusive for $60-80 I bet. A Haslab would probably be something bigger like the German truck from Raiders or a Well of Souls playset. But honestly I don't expect any Indy Haslabs because Hasbro should wisely realize there's not enough collector support to fund it without first guaging general sales interest in the 6" line for a good 2-3 years first. If we get ANYTHING special this year beyond 6" figures, it would probably be just some store/Pulse/SDCC exclusive this summer when the new movie comes out and fan interest is at its peak.

I feel pretty safe in challenging that notion.
Hasbro has been making perfect likenesses in their figures for some time now -these are no exception.
This looks like Harrison Ford to you? More like his grumpy stunt double.

To each his own then, I guess. I was specifically talking about Harrison Ford. None of them looks like Harrison Ford.

I'm not sure why people think the likenesses are good.

Compare that Indy and Donovan to the recent Han Solo and General Veers and the latter look far superior to the actors than these do.

You mean Harrison Ford isn't a googly eyed troll who's head looks like it was smashed by a large vice?

Surely you are not looking close enough to the perfection that is Hasbro's likeness on these suit goblins.

Seems pretty clear they will try and avoid as many figures that are culturally insensitive or problematic as possible.

I mean, NO Cairo Swordsman despite that being THE scene associated with Indy? No German soldiers, or even Mola Ram? The three villains we get are the three non military looking white guys?

Really, how on Earth can you make a Temple wave consisting of two Temple Indys PLUS Dial Indy PLUS Target getting Club Obi-Wan Indy, and the only other figure is a kid?

Even if this line survives past the obvious Marion Apocalypse, it's gonna get killed when Old Man Indy and Helena are rotting there for eternity making even Jyn Erso and Lando laugh.

I question why they chose an "Indy being skeptical" look, but the figure looks EXACTLY like Harrison Ford.

I'd be more excited if Hasbro announced they were doing toys from the Willow TV series & movie that could interact with Star Wars Black Series & Dungeons & Dragons Golden Archives toys. We don’t want fake nostalgia Re:Action figures!

Who the hell is Hasbro attempting to appeal to with that Worlds of Adventure kiddie toys? Collectors will give no shits and kids don't even know who Indiana Jones is. And the 5POA retro figures all look like hot garbage.

As for the 6" figures, I DO want that Club Obi-Wan Indy, but only so I can use the body for a Hercule Poirot custom. Otherwise, hard pass on the entire line.

In other words, if you don't jump through your ass for the exclusives as well as buy a bunch of crap nobody wants, the line will fail and it is YOUR fault.

Patrick & Co. are evil. There are figures from the 2008 3.75" line that they could have resurrected. Oh well. They'd rather force 6" on us and leave the rest to be recycled.

**And by the way, anyone thinking that mezco of all companies could do a likeness that is better than hasblo's already poor efforts, should REALLY see an eye doctor. What mezco did to The Crow's Eric Draven alone is grounds for termination.

Disappointing. What fan wouldn't want the baddies. If that's the path Hasbro chooses, this will be short lived and the "fans" will be blamed.

They avoided the baddies for the npc non buying crowd, then eventually blame the actual fans. Modern corporations summed up.

I'd say people are being alarmist, but remember Django Unchained had toys/dolls aimed at adult collectors and outcry shut them down.

I'm still chuckling over "suit goblins"...

Wait a minute, are those legs on Walter Donovan reused from the Black Series Imperial Officer mold?

Is this the first example of actual cross-line parts sharing we've seen from Hasbro?

These two don’t look a lot like him, but his regular Indy look in the fedora certainly did aside from the poor paint job.

Not sure why the sculpt deviates so much.

So far this is what Yakface is reporting, which means Mola Ram IS coming:
Wave 2:

Temple of Doom Bridge Indy
Temple of Doom Short Round
Temple of Doom Mola Ram
Dial Indy
Dial Fleabag

Wave 3:

Crusade Indy
Crusade Henry Jones, Sr.
Crusade Elsa
Crusade Grail Knight
Dial Mads Mikkelson

Store exclusives:

Club Obi Wan Indy
Professor Indy
Donovan
Black Sleep Indy

But looks like ZERO army builders. Lame as hell.

So far it looks like we'll only be able to make a scene or two at most from all the movies - namely just Donovan drinking from the Grail.

I'm in for the 6" line (except for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). I have my doubts on how well the new film this summer will resonate, especially with kids.

If that list is true then I'm disappointed at no Willie Scott, especially since we'll have 2 of the 3 main characters from ToD.

I think, if anything, Kingdom of the Tom Cruise Jesus will have turned people away from watching the sequal to it.

I'm a little disappointed too. Since we're getting Indy in a tux,I thought for sure an "Anything Goes" Willie was going to happen.

These 6" figs are a thing of beauty and perfect. The retro line is also welcomed, since I've always wanted a carded set. I even like the so-called kid's line. They're like the micro line that MOTU had. It probably won't last very long, but it's still a nice line. Not sure of why there's so much hate towards any of these. They're perfect. Not sure what people want. I literally want every version of every character from every movie, so this is a fantastic start and the list leaks are even better.

I really hate people, so none of this surprises me. Just more confirmation to back up my 67 years of experience.
