Street Date: Officially 2022-01 MSRP: $20 Price I Paid: $16 Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10) Amazon.com had Gotham Knights Red Hood and Nightwing listed briefly in December 2021, but their product pages are no longer live. Some people got their orders, but they're unable to arrange for exchanges in case the copies they received are defective/damaged. This is a problem because the one that I received has a loose right ankle. I got mine from GameStop.com, which is running a 20% off DC Comics items sale this week. https://www.gamestop.com/collectible...re/295862.html ---------- This version of Red Hood is based on his character design from the video game Gotham Knights, which was announced for 2021 but then delayed to 2022. The distribution of consumer goods has been so problematic that collectors of McFarlane's DC action figures have been able to obtain Gotham Knights Red Hood and Nightwing before the Three Jokers Batman, which was officially supposed to have been available in November 2021. In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around Red Hood's torso. In addition to an information card and base stand, he comes with two accessories, alternate "gun" hands. The default right hand that's already attached to the figure looks like it could hold a gun, but the spacing is too narrow for the Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman pistols. The swap out hands from Batman Beyond work better. The default hands slide on and off with ease, but the "pew pew" hands are really tight. (The Batman Beyond hands are a little loose.) This Red Hood stands about 6.9-inches tall, which makes him a tad shorter than several of the other figures I already have. This was surprising since promotional images make him look rather big. Articulation is decent for an action figure with a bulky upper torso. In fact, the upper torso can turn 360 degrees, as does the head. However, some arm poses may be difficult or impossible due to the chunkiness of Red Hood's "clothing". He's unable to do deep splits, unlike the Three Jokers Batgirl or Witcher Ciri figures I've reviewed recently. Unfortunately, mine has a loose right ankle, so I haven't bothered trying to create fun poses. This is a nice action figure, but if you need only one Red Hood, the New 52 version is still the best. Areas of concern: -- Loose ankles. -- The right knee seems to have been molded at an odd angle.
