No but seriously, it's hard to imagine some of these larger characters being done and still kept under budget. But they've also sold Hulk figures that weren't BAF's, so it's not impossible. Maybe they'll do separate price points? Winston, Reinhardt, Zaraya, Roadhog, Orisa. D. Va's mech would be my ideal first wave choice if they did decide to piece them out, with the woman herself as someone available in that same wave.
Not every line needs to be handled like Marvel Legends. My hope is that for most of the tanks and Bastion we see them done as individual deluxe releases at an appropriately higher price point. For example D.Va with her MEKA could be sold like how they handle the Star Wars 6" vehicle packs, specifically using the Dewback pack as my reference. However they handle the bigger figures Zarya wouldn't need to be one, she's big but still just human and actually closer in size to Reaper than any other tank.

Winston's not a cyborg, he's a genetically enhanced gorilla with a cybernetic suit but he himself is purely organic.

Didn't say it needed to be.
Was just a thought that occurred to many, so I speculated as well. I don't know what the licensing agreement looks like and how those profits are divided, but my guess is that this is one that won't be driving up costs with extra pieces. But if it's a choice between paying close to the same price for less plastic overall, I'll go ahead and take the BAF.

And the cowboy robot is right near the top of my list.

Okay im with winston AND bob, a killer red neck cyborg, and a monkey in a power suit.....it just screams sitcom.

BOB's not a cyborg or a redneck. He's just a robot (called omnics within the world) and he's pretty cultured, he used to be a butler and even as criminal muscle he appears to behave as a gentleman when possible. Admittedly his dead silence makes it hard to completely assess his characteristics but his heavy body language definitely lends him a southern gent vibe. Unless he's in a two pack with Ashe I very highly doubt we're getting a figure of BOB because he's not a playable character in the game, he's just Ashe's ultimate ability.

Just about every other character who isn't friends with Winston makes fun of him for being a monkey in a space suit, sometimes with amusing results.

I would've been right there with you complaining about that until about a year ago, when Hasbro started showing they can do incredible amounts of elbow bend in that swivel-hinge elbow joint, sometimes up to, like, 135° (first with The Black Series, then with some Legends), and as much as I might still slightly prefer double-hinge elbows with a bicep swivel, I don't think it would make enough of a difference for me to continue complaining for Hasbro to do that over the improved swivel-hinge design.

I'm really hoping that at Toyfair next month we see at least the first full wave.

^ Nice score. I'm thinking OW is not as popular as it was 2 years ago, so these should be easier to find now than if it had come out earlier. Also I am really glad we got Shrike Ana first.

Also I think Overwatch is free to try for a week right now, but I think you still need PS plus and whatever the Xbox equivalent is to play it.

I'm also hoping that the game's age will lessen the market hype for these figures so I can get the ones I want with minimal stress.
I really like that they're doing Ana in her shrike skin for the two pack because then if/when they do her as a solo figure later it can easily be in her default skin with just a new head and a minor repaint. I don't dislike shrike as a skin but I prefer her stock option and not having to also get 76.

BOOOO! I don't play Overwatch but I do know how awesome Reaper looks and it's kind of lame that's the version they decided to go with for the figure.

Given Reaper's popularity I'm almost positive they're going to do his default look later, possibly in a two pack with Widowmaker.

I'm going to assume that they're sticking to canon-specific alternate skins for multiple releases of the same character, judging by the Shrike Ana and Blackwatch Reyes, which is good, because while I'll be buying a majority of these, I'm not going to be hurting for, say, the Uprising squadron, or Blackwatch McCree and Genji.

But if they decide to do any Junkenstein's Revenge skins, I'm boned.

Other than Reyes head seeming to be too small these turned out great. I'm ready for junkrat roadhog and a proper reaper now.
