Yeah and "Frank Walsh" vaguely resembles Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China, and "Maverick" is definitely based on Barry Bostwick's character from the 1980s movie Megaforce, and "Leon Kelly" is probably supposed to be Black Dynamite

I think these are awesome.
I really want the Mario, Luigi and Charlie Brown.

There’s a few British Action Force references in there. Characters such as Baron Ironblood, Red Shadow troopers and also the Kraken action figure. Brings back some fond memories. I’ll stick with my originals though!

I love the Danny Trejo headsculpt but that gold suit ruins it. Give me a Trejo from any of his movie appearances and I'm down though

Not much of a fan of the gold figures but I've got my preorder in on the not Red Shadows figures and the Monster Force figures. I hope the figures can each hit the 500 necessary to move forward.

Retro Eagle Force I understand. Though not much appeal to me.
Joke figures at $27 each, like Mario and Luigi? Shouldn't Blockhead have a beagle? |

Are these 3.75 Joe/Star Wars compatible? Because some of these would be hilarious to through in a Joe diorama.

I was trying to figure out if there were homages I didn't know, thanks for those. One of them, Baron Von Chill, seems to have a head that looks a lot like Ed Harris as well but I don't recognize the outfit.

He's an homage to a story in the old Marvel GI Joe comic. Destro and Cobra Commander are on the run and in disguise. For some reason, CC dressed like a sleazy porn director.
EDIT: If the beret is removable, he could make a passable Father Guido Sarducci. Last edited by Villano; 11-04-2021 at 01:21 PM.. |

I think he's supposed to be Black Belt Jones, not Black Dynamite. He's definitely patterned after Jim Kelly, not Michael Jai White.

It came out before the 3 3/4" GI Joe. These were smaller and made of diecast. It was the last toyline Mego made before going out of business so most of these went straight to closeout stores.
