I thought we already talked about that, Kain. That's how his costume looks on film too - it's just usually hidden by his skirt and/or cloak.

Keep in mind it is a science-fiction costume design from the late 70's.

NO no, I'm not talking about the costume itself. Hell, I just rewatched the trilogy today and yesterday. It's the cloth Hasbro is using that makes him look fat. He is more like Darth Fatter than Darth Vader. I just don't understand why Hasbro is using cloth instead of a soft plastic/rubber.

My guess is two reasons: one, cloth is cheaper than rubber or plastic; and two, cloth accessories are more associated with "adult collectibles" than plastic ones.

Maybe Hasbro should have its tailor take up an internship at Hot Toys or Sideshow, since those companies seam to be on pointe with their needlework.
