Just got time to really look at the reveals. Pretty impressed with most of the reveals. Really glad to get a second chance at Magik, the price of the SDCC exclusive has been ridiculous. Silver Sable, Gambit, & Blink are a couple of highlights for me that I can finally knock-off my current Most-Wanted list. But the Mystique teaser at the end has me absolutely buzzing. I truly hope she's a retail figure and not part of some crazy hard to find exclusive.

You're new here, so its understandable that you weren't looking in every direction. There is more than plenty of 3.75 love along with 6, 12, and other scales here.

And by 'everyone', you mean the 'few' 3.75" questions/comments comparatively to the majority of 6" complaints of what was revealed and what 'should've' been revealed. Definitely far from an all-inclusive term.

BTW: Welcome to the Ark.

Yea no I get it. It’s obviously not what a 3.75 collector wants to hear, nor would a 6” collector. But seriously when wave after wave of new legends come out that are all 6” and there is no mention or news on what you love, you gotta look at your options. That’s all I’m saying.

And to who mentioned the mystique teaser...umm what mystique teaser?

Hasbro is still making 3.75” gamerverse figures but those were shown last year... 3.75 isn’t dead yet but it certainly is on life support. I can only vote with my cash and by expressing myself on this great website called Toyark... the point is not for me to complain but to let hasbro know that I would love to buy some 3.75” figures from them..
It is what it is...

Thanks. Im a new member yes but I have been a browser for years. And a Marvel Legends collector longer. I’m not looking to argue about this, and I really hope the 3.75 line does come back for those that like them. I just don’t see any evidence of that. 6” seems to be where Marvel and Hasbro think there legends toy sales are.

I also collect the 12” line, and love those as well, but they seem to be dieing if not dead already as well. Unless I missed it, there was no new 12” figure announcements this year correct?

So after being busy all day I come online and find that Hasbro's Marvel Legends reveal left a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, there were some truly awesome figures unveiled, but I'm sorely disappointed to learn that no Giant Size X-Men box set was announced (or at least a first appearance Storm or Nightcrawler if nothing else), nor is there going to be a Prof X/Classic Magneto 2 pack.

I'm also lamenting that no classic Vulture or Scorpion were revealed and that the Spider-Man wave is pretty crappy but I have to get the whole thing due to Kingpin.

Anyway, here are my initial thoughts on what was shown (in order of Hasbro's official images shown on Marvelousnews):

Hercules - Looks like a great figure, but I have no interest in the character.

Professor X - The hover chair looks amazing, but can he come out of it? Also, does he include a regular wheel chair too so we can have options? A must buy nonetheless, but I do hope he can be put into a regular wheelchair.

Black Cat - Don't know this design of hers, so I will probably stick to the one I have now despite the hip joints being awful. A great use of the Black Widow body mold though.

Kingpin - Sad he is missing his ascot, but looks freaking phenomenal. However, his face looks weird though as if he is a giant baby crying because he wet his diaper. Not a fan of the head sculpt, but I'm sure I will like it better in person. I'm just happy we are finally getting him though.

Carnage on Crack Thing - Yeah, don't know what the deal is with this guy, but he looks awful in my book. They should have switched him with Typhoid Mary as he belongs in the Venom wave. Wait, is he ripping his face off?

Silver Sable - I want to be excited for this figure, but something looks off to me and I don't know what. Also not a fan of her having the same terrible guns Domino had. Is it that hard to have people come with realistic looking weapons? Still, I'm happy we are getting her too.

Armored Symbiote Spider-Man (??) - Ooooooooooookay. Not sure why that is a thing. Would rather it had been the actual terrible 90s Armored Spider-Man, but sure, why not. Another figure going into the "To Eventually Sell Off" bin.

Age of Apocalypse Blink - On one hand, this is pretty cool, on the other, I really don't need figures from AoA. Notwithstanding, the sculpt does look pretty cool and I love the face.

Gambit - OH HELL FUCKING YES!!!!!!!! That is all.

Crossbones - Meh, looks terrible in my book. It's like they just took the Deathlok body and repainted it into the most simpliest thing they could. Total waste of a figure, but I'm assuming he is part of that Avengers wave that so far doesn't look all that impressive, so no big loss on my part.

Days of Future Past Set - Someone said this is an Amazon exclusive set, and if that is the case, that means it is going to be hella easy to purchase several of these sets over the course of a few months. Definitely going to try to get 3, though I believe these Sentinels are the same size as my Galactus, so I'm not sure how I'm going to display them in my Detolf without buying a new one. Wish there were some close up picks of the figures themselves though.

Aim Soldier 2 pack - Not interested in AIM. Wish they would do more Hydra Soldiers.

MCU Ultron - Already own the BAF one.

Miles and Spider-Gwen 2 pack - I already have their previous figures, so no interest in this set at all.

Vintage Black Panther - Pretty happy with my Walmart version that looks like BP came right out of his debut issues in Fantastic Four.

Vintage Hawkeye - At first I was excited but then I realized it's just a repaint of the Hawkeye figure I have no, just without the robot arm. The problem lies in that I absolutely hate the Hawkeye figure I have. He can't hold his bow or arrow properly, his quiver bag doesn't stay on, and the skirt/shoulder armor piece doesn't sit properly, so I'm probably going to pass.

Vintage Scarlet Spider - Already own the one from a few year's back, so I'm good. I'm not spending $20 for a blonde Peter head.

Vintage Vision - Definitely a must buy and he looks incredible. Though, why does Hasbro love giving Vision fists? I prefer him with open hands. Hell, the artwork on the box shows him with an open hand, so why not let us recreate that image? No idea what the Ultron head goes to though.

Archangel - OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!! Not only does he look friggin fantastic, but he comes with multiple heads, one of which is his Death head from when he was one of the Four Horsemen. HELL YEAH!!!! He is probably the highlight of the convention for me, though I heard he is a Gamestop exclusive, which means I will never seen him. -_- Well, I might when I go to the Mall of America when I'm in MN in April, but I'll never see him here in CO.

Magik - I already have this figure from the SDCC pack from a few year's ago, so I'm good. The additional accessories are cool, but I can't justify getting another one just for those. They should have done her 80s New Mutants look.

Well that seems to be all of the figures. Honestly, there was a lot to like, but at the same time, I feel this was the weakest SDCC showings to pass since I got into Marvel Legends.

Toyark doesn't have the pic. Near the end of the panel, Hasbro showed a few gray-scaled teaser pics for a few upcoming figures in 2019.

Oh wow, those are new to me as Marvelous didn't show those either.

What are they supposed to represent? Characters? If so, Mystique, Quicksilver, Magneto, Captain America, and... a green lantern?

We were talking about these in the Marvel Legends thread earlier. In the first image, it's Mystique's belt and possibly Quicksilver's head.

In the second image, it's Magneto's helmet, Hydra Supreme's shield (alt. universe Steve Rogers). Still no clue what the piece on the right is. It looks like it has an aperture on the front of it to let something in/out. Maybe a container for an Infinity Stone?

In the full panel presentation we see Xavier out of the chair entirely. That's not Crossbones, it's Skullbuster. Crossbones would've been cooler but not for an X-wave.

I'm a little disappointed that we aren't seeing anything for Corvus Glaive or Ebony Maw from IW but maybe Hasbro will get to them during the Avengers 4 waves.

Man, that Spider-Gwen/Miles two pack would be pretty awesome if it wasn't the exact same Gwen that already came out, with the exact same parts. If they had given her some extra hands, I might have actually picked that up. Also, why is Hercules even there? That seems really random. The only things I really liked were the Xmen stuff. The rest of it was very meh.

Not a 3 3/4 collector myself, but honestly, with H.A.C.K.S. and all the other outstanding selections, I don't see any need for major companies to put out figures in that scale. Though if you want specific comic characters, I suppose you'd have to do a bit of kitbash and customizing yourself.

Less exciting than past SDCCs, but there was a lot I liked. I'm absolutely loving the new Hercules.

I'm also happy about finally being able to get Archangel without paying 150 bucks. And looking forward to the Sentinel as well. The Spider-Verse two-pack looks cool, since I missed Gwen previously and gave my Miles Morales to my nephew not too long ago. And of course, Professor X was a longtime want. The Black Panther wave looks amazing and I'm glad we're getting tribal mask Killmonger, especially since it means I no longer have to buy the Target two-pack just to get an unmasked Michael B. Jordan headsculpt.

There were some disappointments, though. The lack of Squirrel Girl is still really frustrating, and I'm kind of pissed that they managed to slip in a second Age of Ultron entry for the 10th anniversary line and it's somehow not Quicksilver???? How??? I mean I get it, money, but was anyone seriously asking for a rerelease of Ultron when there are fan favorites like Peggy Carter and Quicksilver who have never been made?

Honestly, this just tells me how cyclical this all is. There was a time when the 6 inch Legends were absolutely dead, and we didn't get a rebirth until a few years later. It'll happen for the 3.75 inch scale too, as surely as night follows day.

I wanted a redo of Ultron because I never even came close to completing the BAF (by choice, if I really wanted it I could have acquired all figures needed) but a Peggy would be great. Is Quicksilver a fan favorite? I know people really enjoyed him in the X-men DoFP movie but I thought the general vibe towards the AoU version was "meh," especially compared to DoFP.

Apparently there are going to be more Star Wars reveals at a few cons this year, more than usual, I wonder if ML will do the same?

It's generally supposed to be that, until like the mid-late 90s, the Iron Man armor worked kind of as a system of skintight artificial muscles (in addition to the structural support as well), rather than just having electric motors at the joints.

Anyway, pretty excited for a number of these reveals. Not the best SDCC in recent times, but some pretty great stuff revealed. Already have Archangel, AIM 2-pack, and MCU 10th Ultron on pre-order.

This sh*t frustrates me. I collected all the 3.75 MU figures and affiliates, and had they told me Marvel Legends would have completely supplanted MU from the start, I could have caught up. But I dropped literal thousands on my 3.75 scale, I can't justify jumping into ML. I'll just pray and hope Hasbro remembers the scale that brought them to the dance in the first place.

AoU and/or CW Hawkeye are still major wants for me.

Now then, that is a whole lot of extra reveals! Awesome. As always they look great but part of me is glad there aren't a whole lot I actually want (for my wallet's sake).

I'm glad the vintage line is still going, and loving almost all of this second wave!
