Yay! Something else that'll be impossible for me to get. You know, like last years GI Joe/Transformers set and Boba Fett.

Can't wait.

Accessories that everyone wants being packed in SDCC Exclusives is a disturbing trend for this line...

I don't know about you guys but these SDCC releases are really upsetting me to the point where I don't want to collect this line anymore.

I still think it's funny people are paying 300 dollars for a box and Carbonite Han. Hasbro is still punishing us for not buying it right as it came out. The line was brand new, no one loved or cared about the line that early in the game, yet an expensive SDCC set comes out. Who's gonna plop down for that? I didn't, I would now. Seriously they put a spot for Carbonite Han, why not just throw him in sans the cool base?

I bought one, with every intention of keeping it. Being the massive Star Wars fan I am there was no way I was passing that up. Just got lucky and managed to snag one off hasbro toy shop after the show.

Really hoping I get lucky with this Jabba too.

Well like many others I wasn't willing to take the plunge on an all new scale with an SDCC exclusive that would probably cost twice the original cost. So I waited, got Wave One, really liked it, then Wave 2 and I was sold on the line. If Boba had come out even after Wave One I probably would have bit the bullet.

I guess with me I have to either REALLY like the line or really like the item. And the line was non-existent and the overall item wasn't appealing enough as a stand alone piece for me. Now that I have all the other figures, I'd love to have Carbonite Han with my Boba and Stormtrooper.

I hate how toy companies see only getting something at SDCC is a reward for people. NOT EVERYONE CAN GO TO SDCC EVERY DAMN YEAR. They are like, "If you can't come to SDCC and get one you must not want one" Not everyone had the time, money , availability, or vacation time to take off and go to SDCC. NECA was GREAT last year and every day when the show opened, they put some of the exclusives up on their website. This whole 15 second sell out, get fucked over, not enough server power on the website after the con crap needs to stop (and I mean Hasbro and Matty). Make enough for the demand or don't make any. They need to reissue Han in Carbonite some other way. They made a slot for it in this , they should have included it for collectors who missed out last year.

Is this the 6" scale? Cause it really, really, looks like the 4" Wal-Mart exclusive from a few years back.

Was there a limit of carbonite Han per person last year? I've been getting all the black 6" figs for my gf's son, and I'm hoping I can get one of these from HTS after this years con, just wondering about the chances. I got two T-Bolts box sets last year, as that was all I wanted then, but this year will be different.

And there's no way I'm spending 3 bills on carbonite Han....at least not for awhile lol

im guessing with the popularity of the black series this will be almost impossible to get at a fair price outside of the con, right?

i really dislike this con exclusives, i got a pretty good in scale carbonite han custom for 15 dollars, so i wouldnt get the boba fett one, but salacious, the pipe and the box??? that should come with the regular one

I really wanted this.

Since I don't live in the US, guess it's just another figure I can't get because Hasbro hate the international market.

Oh don't worry, they hate those of us who live in the states too.

I tried like hell to get last years GI Joe/Transformers set, Boba Fett with carbonite Han, Deadpool corps box set, and the Thunderbolts box set.

I checked HTS every few minutes, refreshing. Borrowed laptops so I could have internet access in every room. Barely slept. I went to those extremes for three days because Hasbro wouldn't say for sure when these would be put up on HTS for purchase. It was even fun at first, 'cause hell, I had never tried to get any of their exclusives before.

Out of all of those things I was after, I was only able to get the Deadpool Corps. Boba Fett made it to my cart but went out of stock before I could finish checkout. The Thunderbolts ended up coming back in stock the neck day, I believe, but I didn't want to make a second order just for them - mostly because I was furious at the way Hasbro handled things.

Managed to get Masterpiece Soundwave from toysrus.com as a bonus, but the whole experience was awful overall. I'll never make that kind of effort again, it just isn't worth it.

NECA, on the other hand, was awesome. Got my NES Jason Voorhees easily.

These exclusive pieces or even the price wouldn't bother me as much as the fact that it's next to impossible to get tickets to get into the event. Hasbro really needs to make this set available to retailers. It was a huge let down that I'll never get Carbonite Han because of this stupid trend.

Maybe they tried already and no one wanted it. It's not like that hasn't happened before with multiple lines and figures.

I think it looks really great, but I'm not going to be crestfallen if I can't get one.

Considering that's exactly how convention exclusives are supposed to work, I don't see an issue with that idea. If anything, Hasbro and co. shouldn't even be selling them after the show if they're supposed to be exclusive to that show. What's the point of calling it a Con exclusive if you can get it without having anything to do with the show? Might as well just call it a limited-run figure instead.

I think the real question is should it be a Con exclusive at all, considering how massive SDCC is these days versus how popular the Black Series is at retail.

Since the display is sized for the Han-in-Carbonite exclusive from last year's SDCC, I think it's pretty safe to assume this Jabba is also in 6" scale.

I knew they were going to fuck up Yoda. His hair is nearly invisible in ESB and RotJ. Most toys and sculptures opt out of including the hair at all because he looks weird with thick grey/white hair like this toy does.

I think he looks awesome - almost a carbon copy of the ESB toy I had as a kid. Yoda will be one of the few 6" Black figures that I will gladly pay full price for at retail and will be bought on sight.

Yoda looks perfectly amazing. I LOVE the little grin he has, which is also one of the reasons I love the vintage figure. Most modern Yodas look too dour, but this one perfectly captures that impish charm he had in ESB. Will probably be the only 6" figure I buy two of.

As far as Han Solo in Carbonite goes I once heard that he was going to be released again somewhere down the line. At the time I originally thought that it might be with Jabba The Hutt if they ever made him, or with a Leia in Boosh disguise.

I decided to do a search to see if I could find a story mentioning it somewhere and I came up with this...

Rebelscum.com: 6-Inch Han Solo In Carbonite Not As Exclusive As You Would Think

Now it doesn't mention when or who he would be released again with, but it does say that the person overheard Derryl DePriest saying it, so I think it could happen.

Nothing's ever set in stone, but if Derryl DePriest indeed said it I'm sure he would try to make it happen.
