I missed the first one, I'll definitely pick this one up. I wonder if this one sells well if they will re-release Venom with a new paint scheme?

first one is perfect for me. this just looks like Spidey fought and lost against killer ink stains.

Will this include all of the accessories the first one had? If so, I might get it since Hasbro is not going to be doing a new Spidey any time in the near future.

Oh hang on...cynical repaint time. I have the original and generally like the look of it better (the cell shading on the blue here looks particularly heavy handed) so I'm not angry about it but if they did one that looked more like the stock images of the original (brighter blue) I both want it and be a bit annoyed lol.

Is this in more of a 6" or 7" scale? I've seen both mentioned but I'm trying to focus mainly on 7" scale stuff now haha

Small thing, but it's nice they're applying paint on the joints as well.

I'm pretty sure he's around 6 inches since he's shorter than the Pizza Spidey.

Nope, he's somewhere between "true" and "large" 6" scale. Keep in mind that Figuarts is usually "small" 6" scale, and actually sometimes down to like 5.5" scale, so a figure being taller than Figuarts isn't exactly a feat.

its a cool idea, but it doesnt look like they looked at any comic book art as reference for the cross hatching.

The first one was re-released last month or so it's still available if people prefer the original look over this one.
Personally, not seeing the appeal, it just looks like a sloppy repaint someone did with some Gundam markers and micron pens.

He doesn't have metallic blue.

I guess the metallic blue could be a dealbreaker for some. IMO, I didn't think the blue looked all that metallic on the actual figure anyway and actually wished it looked closer to the promo pics.

Well I didn't like the metallic blue, I didn't like the lack of web wings, plus, he was like $150 when I looked, and I was expecting Hasbro to unveil an 80th Spidey (with the hope it would be a Romita Sr design) at SDCC.

Now that that didn't happen, I'm a little more open. Stil wish MAFEX included the web wings.
