Hasbro Lands the Voltron Movie License

This Voltron announcement in conjunction with the earlier Street Fighter news is pretty curious. Especially curious given their reported pivot to eliminating expenditures on franchising outside of their proprietary brands. These announcements run counter to what they shared would be their approach a year or two ago. It's possible I misunderstood the 'play to win' strategy, but this seems like a 180 degree turn from the touted 'legacy IP focus' in lieu of paying to license other brands.
