First up is Daken/Dark Wolverine. While the character can come off a little poochy, I like that he's basically Wolverine without any morals. You might say "so was Sabretooth", but Creed was the animus let loose. Daken is a sociopath and each thing he does seems calculated for maximum "screw-you-ed-ness".

The figure itself is the standard larger Wolverine body, which works much better in this case as Daken is taller than his pop. The orange base has a nice wash bringing out the details, and the new hand and head sculpt work very well. The head especially apes the artwork from the early issues of the series, but I will be sculpting an unmasked replacement for it at some point. As you can see from the pics, the paint apps are a bit loose, but those can be fixed.

All in all, I'd suggest grabbing this guy if your a fan at all of the series. It's a nice and somewhat unexpected addition to the MU series.

Yes, yes. I know this is a custom (of sociopathic psychiatrist Moonstone/Karla Sofen/Dark Ms. Marvel no less). I saw someone else (I think it was Nirvana) do this the other day, and almost face-palmed because it was so simple. It fills a niche, and clears the shelves of the lingering Ms. Marvel figures. I will be tweaking the paint-job somewhat and removing a bit of the hair undersculpt to allow for more movement, but seriously...how easy was this?

Last but not least is Mac Gargan/Dark Spiderman. I wasn't really expecting a lot from this figure, but after getting it in hand, I really think it's much better than initial impressions.

The figure has a new head and left hand sculpt which are pretty much perfect. The body appears to be the large (Piledriver, Thunderball, etc...) which conveys the size very well. The paint looks great with the metallic purple highlights showing off the sculpt nicely. Again, the paint apps are a little loose, but they can be fixed easily. All in all, a very nice rendition.

Very much looking forward to the other offerings from Hasbro's MU Dark Avengers. Now to start work on Ares.

Daken and dark spidey look good, but not in a rush to buy, more interested in finding myself a thor, Galactus with silver surfer, and hawkeye

She was eating choco-chip cookies and milk before the shoot. Wholesome.

A model that actually eats real food...?! Wow, she is crazy!

Back on topic, I'd really like to pick up Mac and Daken (mostly for Mac). Moonstone is a custom idea I've thought of doing, but not really sure I'd care enough to buy the extra Ms. Marvel figures. They're a lot more scarce around my area.

She is one of the more rarer ones. I saw the Classic version only ONCE ever. And I bought her immediately. Never ever have seen the Modern version, bought that one online....

Both versions were pretty common around here when that wave first hit, but a few restocks of later waves and all the but die-hard pegwarmers are left. Every once in a while I might see a modern, but I can't remember the last time I saw a classic version.

Luckily, I grabbed one of each right away when they were everywhere. It was only much later that I realized I should have bought two of each for the easy custom(s).

This is the FIRST comic pack I have bought WITHOUT qc problems(except deco...my Daken has a bald spot...)! Great set, 2 "new" characters to the line, and the 1st Wolverine that doesn't seem too tall for the line(since Daken is taller than his pops to begin with!).

Yeah, I got that set too. I thought the 'bald' spot is normal??? Anyways, he looks okay.

Picked these up today and though I don't really care for Dark Wolverine (just don't like the body they used) Dark Spider-Man is awesome. The comic they came with is pretty good too. Read it in the car while I was waiting behind some slow-poke at the bank.
