I'm super happy for everyone who is excited for this. But I'm equally as happy with my Toy Biz Galactus. I will admit it is impressive. But I have like zero room in my Goof Off-ice™. I'll be lucky if I can squeeze the new X-Force box set onto a shelf. Or Shriek for that matter. So this is right out.
It would be awesome if they could just release that Frankie Raye Nova by herself, though. But I'm sure someone on ebay will be using her to recoup some of their lost Galactus money. I can wait. |

Doom head is severely anti-climatic. Could have been an accessory or even an unhelmeted Galactus if they didn't want another herald as 4th tier.
Really disappointing in isolation, but from a macro view I am beyond ecstatic for Galactus and 3 heralds. I was all in at $400 for Galactus alone and would have been absolutely comfortable with my decision if it came with nothing else. So this is excellent... except for tier 4. |

Galactus as of this post needs 400 most to be more successful then Sentinel.
Really is you preorder it(that's what it is now). You got this 32 inch behemoth with three Heralds, and now a massive Doom head. Not to shabby. Makes your purchase seem like you purchased three Marvel Legends and a $340 Galactus. |

I'll be real, I'm kind of super happy about the Doom head. I just think it's the right kind of silly, and it reminds me of Marvel Two-In-One, which is a fantastic comic from recent years!

The Doom head is so stupid IMO. I would have GREATLY preferred another Herald.

But again, it's all just extra now, the main thing is that Galactus is happening. |

Well if the numbers are accurate, Galactus blew past Sentinel.
I understood the surge but I had to be see it to believe it. This went from "Is it going be barely backed" to "Does this train have an ending?". Honestly let's be real now. Was revealing the Tiers at the end a detriment or did it act like a super accelerant for the surge? |

^Without seeing the number of outstanding third party orders, there's no knowing for sure. However, the opposite inquiry is equally (if not moreso) valid - had they simply revealed upfront that their intention was to provide every herald, how many more subs would they have netted? My wager would be on far more as the heralds are a draw in and of themselves that people have made requests for more often than Galactus given that this will be the character's third iteration.

I see the reasoning, more people would be interested to back if they think there is a chance at getting those figures. The other possibility is it wouldn't have mattered. We may have gotten higher numbers at the start but had a lower surge at the end. If you were on the fence then you would have climbed over it this last week or you were never going to buy. That would require a survey of all the buyers because I honestly don't know the answer and would be curious(Hasbro probably would be too). |

They certainly did not try to provide every Herald, they tried to provide some Heralds.

And I'm sure Hasbro's crunching the numbers in preparation for the next project. |

If resting on their laurels is sufficiently profitable they'll continue doing it, but if they thought this one could have done better, an easy way to find out is with how transparent they are with the tiers next time. I think their next project will be a good indication of how they felt about this one's performance

What's the Doom head from? I can't think of anything like that, and I've read FF for like the last decade.

The back end of Galactus' inventory on Pulse indicates 21,132 were sold. Pretty crazy. |

Over 25,000 sold. That's kind of crazy. Given so many are keeping more than 1 Sentinel, that production run seems low in comparison.

Massive “FOMO” setting in by the looks of it. This may beat the razor crest.

Ultimately I'm curious about resell prices. Get enough online and it's going to limit the max anyone can really ask for. Still it's nuts how the Haslab asking for too many backers has exceeded everything. |

7 hours left and I'm still debating if I should buy.... I can afford it, but I always feel guilty dropping large amounts of cash on toys, especially when I won't see it for a year. I'm sure the regret of missing out would be greater though if I had to pay $800+ from a reseller...

Really it's not much of a question of "if they included more figures, would people have been even more interested?" Because yes, more figures means more free stuff and people would have liked that and you may have lured in even more backers. But it's understandable that they didn't just give out every Galactus related figure ever with this, because at the end of the day they can't give out a bunch more free stuff and still make the profit they wanted from just selling Galactus. And it's hard to argue that they should have done more when what they've done already has brought in a new record of backers for HasLab. |

My herald wants (ALL) were a tad unrealistic for this type of project, but I still believe that they could have reached 6 (roughly half) heralds with goals that became transparent upon meeting certain thresholds (as you reach the mid-mark, you tease the next goal; rinse; wash; repeat). As far the remaining heralds go, I agree with what has been mentioned and that Firelord would move on pegs and the Destroyer can be delivered elsewhere (either as a BAF or deluxe treatment). Airwalker, Red Shift, and the Fallen One might need a 3 pack as they are somewhat obscure. Stardust, who has oddly shown up in a few different/current 'toon-media vehicles could be an exclusive. And my preference for Tyrant and Alpha Ray are as deluxe servings because most of the uninitiated would whine were they to materialize as BAFs. I'm on the fence about a new Terrax given that despite being listed at 6'6", the character has been illustrated as larger than that for some time now, not to mention that the BAF still holds up well. There are plenty of FF villains to populate waves without introducing the heralds. Mephisto, Diablo (& the Elements of Doom - maybe a box-set), Puppet Master, Salem Seven (another box), Abraxas, Mole Man, etc just to name a few. Quote:

Yeah, this was a very successful campaign (for Hasbro and me personally: MORG!!) and I was one of those that was very worried about the outcome.

Yeah, man, as was mentioned, if you can nab it, pull the trigger because you'll end up kicking yourself if you don't. And, as was also said, if you have second thoughts, you're going to make more than you spent should you unload it. ![]() |

At this point it has more than doubled the original 14,000 target.
