Hello All,

I am really hoping you all might be able to help me identify what I think may be a rather obscure toy. The toy in the picture is a motor driven toy that drives gears to lift the giraffe's head, once it reaches the top of the action it drops to the bottom scooting the giraffe forward on two wheels under the front hooves. When this happens, the squeaker in the head makes a little squeak as well.

I think my Mom purchased in in the late 90's at a second hand shop. The only labeling on it is on the battery cover that I have included in the pictures. This toy is quite sentimental to my Mom, but after many years of being loved by multiple children, the mechanism in it doesn't work anymore. (The head won't lift anymore)

I would love to find a better name for it than "heading bobbing squeaking Giraffe" so that I can try finding one that works to replace it.

Any help finding a name, or someone who is interested in selling me one would be greatly appreciated.

Jakks Pacific is one of the well-known companies in the toy industry that produces many licensed toys. If I remember correctly, it was founded in 1995. Under the cover of this toy, it says 1998, meaning it was produced 3 years after the company was founded and the fact that it is battery-powered shows that it is newer than wind-up toys.

However, I could not find much information about this toy on the internet. Maybe it was not too produced very much. You may have seen it too. If you type "Spring Tail Giraffe Toy" into Google, you can see a similar toy on photo.

I think the most important feature of this toy is that it reminds you of your childhood and brings back good old memories.

I could not help much, but I wanted to give such information. I hope you can find more information.
