The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features Iron Man 2 on the cover. Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson are all on the cover in costume. This is our first official look at Scarlett in her Black Widow gear. Some pics have shown her with her red hair but never in her full outfit.

What do you all think of her in this role now? I think she looks pretty good. I just hope the accent doesn't sound dumb. I do love how she has her wrist things (don't really know what they are called)

Scarlett Johansson is ridiculously hot and her and Natalie Portman as two superhero girlfriends now makes me very happy. I hope she nails this role.

Now we just need Selma Blair as Janet Pym!

It would be nice if he did, considering RDJ cameoed in Hulk before Iron Man came out. It would certainly help build up more buzz for the Thor movie.

I'll be very curious to see Cheadle's portrayal of Rhodey. He was always my favorite supporting character in IM, especially once he became War Machine.

Iron Man came out before Hulk...

I concur on Rhodes being my favorite supporting character as well, though. I think Cheadle will knock it out of the park. He's a fantastic actor.

Cheadle is a better and more accomplished actor than Howard IMO. Both actors seem to be a little on the soft spoken side, though. I would have imagined more of a gruff kind of guy to play Rhodey personally, but I'm sure Cheadle will be great! I'm super pumped for this movie!!!

ScarJo is smoldering hot. I don't get Russian gymnast from here, but I'm willing to judge her on the performance.

Did this movie really need this many big names? RDJ, Paltrow, ScarJo, Rouke, Cheadle, Rockwell, Samuel L.? Jeez.

They were filmed around the same time though, and Nick fury was announced as a rumor before filming started just like thor was in ironman this time.

I tend to look at it as, the ending cameo is the next movie, unless the next chapter movie is being released at the same time or near it.
For example:
Ironman (nick fury), Hulk, (tony stark), Ironman 2(thor) thor(cap?), Cap (the team), avengers(ant man and wasp). and so on.

Though I doubt they may do this, It'd make sense to build hype for each next project.
Thor at the end of IM2, would also open the door for 'magic' and let's them use the dragon and mandarin for the next film like the director wants. Unless they do the avengers film as hands of the mandarin. But honestly I'd prefer ultron, or aim and adaptoids, etc. But they can be used for anything as well later too once the costume details have been ironed out.

Makes sense. And for some reason, I seem to recall reading somewhere that Hulk was supposed to come out first, but got delayed.

I agree. Cameos at the end of a movie are a great way to set up a lead-in to the next project and build the hype up for all of us geeks. Plus, being a cameo doesn't lock Marvel or any particular studio into doing the next film.

I think the greatest benefit of doing these cameos in subsequent films is it helps establish the groundwork of a movie-version of the Marvel Universe. With that, Marvel could make almost any film they wanted involving any number of characters. And if actors need to be replaced, it is basically the same as that characters being drawn by a different artist (its how I look at the Bat franchise).

Screenrant.com has posted up some more pics from Iron Man 2, this time showing Don Cheadle as Rhodes and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer. Hammer is the guy sitting behind Rhodes, slightly out of focus.

Very cool. It'll take me a little time to get used to losing Howard for Cheadle(strictly because of the switch, not acting quality), but nothing can stop this movie!!

Eek... I can't wait to see War Machine in action.
