Hi Toyark,
Long time lurker, but first time poster! Apologies if this is in the wrong thread, but I couldn't find anywhere else. I come across some small Spider-man toys on eBay that had no brand name etc but I thought they looked cool and they were cheap (about £12). I decided to order them and once they arrived I started to have a look about. I found out that that they are part of a Time Capsule collection by Yujin and that sets were going for a lot on eBay. This prompted me to think that they could be fake due to the above reason and poor paintwork . Could anyone in these forums confirm whether they are legit or fake? I've included some pictures below, but I can supply more if required. ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybes I am asking a silly question, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance |

You might have better luck with this in the Marvel forum. Moved.
I wish I could help, but it's really hard for me to tell KOs from the real thing when the line did not originate in the US first.

Thanks for your helps guys.
The boxes look and feel like a legit product would feel, but the figures throw me off a bit due to the paint jobs and price. I'll upload more pictures when I get home and open them. |

Capsule figures are similar to something you'd see out of a vending machines that u put #1-2 in and get a figure or trinket in a plastic ball. In Japan they can some cool ass shit in small packages for cheap, I've seen them online before, they're a legit item, just not sold in North America.

It's hard to tell with a lot of stuff like that. I wouldn't think that people would fake those but who knows. The figures themselves should be fairly cheap over in Asia most times and then on ebay they kick up the price a lot because they know Americans want to import them. Sometimes you just find someone selling at a decent price for whatever reason. Could be factory rejects too.

this is just my opinion... but if they were knock offs for a cheap price, I believe they wouldn't print a box as well. What is the advantage to that and it costs more. That is why most knock off don't have accessories or packaging.
If factory rejects then where did the box come from? Maybe the seller just found a large lot of them in a storage unit. There are more high value items to knock off. That being said, it stands to reason that a toy designed for vending, could be sold for cheap if recently located. That, or he could have just scammed you out of twelve quid. Could be worse.... anyway, if you like them, be happy with your score. If you dont, sell it on for £20 and get yourself a free lunch out of it. |
