Internet of Things. Your Thoughts?

No one will argue that this technology is our nearest future but what are the drawbacks of it?

I mean there are loads of vulnerabilities in it, aren't there? Taking into account the significance of IoT I can't even imagine the scale of a possible disaster caused by these vulnerabilities ((
