Okay. THAT's the reason why you need Colonial Marines in 3 3/4" scale. That's what made 3 3/4" so popular in the 80s-90s with GIJoe and Star Wars, because of the vehicle possibilities!

Great point!

I saw the die-cast metal version of this & other Aliens related crafts @ TRU & was surprised how much they cost - one was close to $30 as I recall.

I'm happy someone out there knows that the 3.75" market is just a goldmine patiently waiting to be tapped again. I hope these Hiya guys embrace the scale hardcore and make Hasbro rethink their agenda. Need more companies like this one to make toys that target collectors as well as provide massive amounts of fun factor for the kiddies.

Unfortunately, that's probably not going to happen. Outside of collectors (AKA grown-ups), 3.75" stuff just doesn't sell well at mass market retail. Don't blame Hasbro...despite poor sales, they keep releasing G.I. Joe stuff at TRU for the core fans. Heck, new Joe figure sets have just been announced for the fall, in fact.

I'm a bit nervous about this. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome potential release but after seeing how much the power loader is going for I'm going to keep my enthusiasm reigned-in until I see the price tag, I have a feeling I'd be lucky to afford one.

I grew up with larger figures like MOTU and 'Cats so I never got into smaller scale stuff, but I totally appreciate it's place, especially for releases like this.

Got confirmation that it does indeed open up and seats multiple figures.

Didn't take that into consideration. Fingers crossed it's around the same price as the power loader.

I wouldn't count on that. This is significantly larger than, and uses far more materials than the Power Loader.

Yeah, this thing is going to make the Power Loader look cheap in comparison. But don't worry...Hiya has a track record of announcing toys and then taking next to forever to actually get them finished and released, so you'll have plenty of time to save up for this baby. I'm calling early 2018 for the APC at least.
