After the quality of their Godzilla and Kong I can not WAIT to get this one.

I put my MonsterArts Ghidorah in a storage bin because it would literally fall apart on the shelf.

I would love to add this figure to my collection, still am because you never know what they plan on doing later. But it's a real shame that hiya doesn't plan on restocking their basic Godzilla from GvK, said it themselves. Now look at his prices. They're ridiculous. No way in hell that hunk of plastic is worth 300 bucks.

Hopefully we atleast see a Godzilla from the 2019 film to substitute the GvK one.

Well, considering it’s back on sale at their website with an estimated ship date of 3/2023, that’s either not true or there was enough interest to change their mind.

I can’t post links because I’m new and literally just made this profile to add this comment but go the hiya.com and put this at the end. /Goods/goodsInfo/id/6158.html

Could have just been a canned response for any product that is currently out of stock. I've seen a ton of people asking for the figure to get a second release and, as I said, it is available on their website. I put in an order and send a follow up email to confirm it was a valid listing and they will ship it to the US (since Hiya does sometimes limit to China only). So we will need to see.

I have had other businesses tell me a product that was out of stock wasn't ever coming back. I remember, for example, ThinkGeek had their Bag of Holding out of stock and I emailed them to ask if it would be coming back in stock. They said no and that it had been discontinued but then, a month or two later, it was back in stock. Doesn't mean for sure that this Godzilla will be back, but I just wouldn't count it out.

Honestly, if they re-released it as a KOTM version and maybe added in a breath effect part, that would be pretty cool.

Thank you for this. Just a slight correction. It should be hiyatoys.com and the rest of the url you listed. Otherwise, it goes to a phone company site lol.

Oh my gosh, you’re right. Sorry about that. I tried to post with the link and it failed because I’m new so I went and edited and completely spaced on the domain. Thank you for catching that!

Yeah, I think that was a canned response situation.

For some reason Hiya always says their products won't be available outside of China, too.

Their Godzilla is so good I hope they do restock him so those that missed out can get one.
It sold so well I can't imagine they don't think there is demand for another production run.
Whether they restock this version or not, I am sure they will have one with glowing blue fins and hopefully a Burning Godzilla version.

Update: contacted by Hiya. They’ve been having issues with the website and noted the relisting was an error. They did note that there are no current plans to restock BUT said to watch social media as that could change down the road.

I am stoked for this.
I bought the overpriced, unpainted, unposeable MonsterArts King Ghidorah and totally regretted it.
I put it in storage because it would literally fall apart while on display.
The left tail, the center head, the right head at the middle of the neck -they would just pop off an fall over.

Then Bandai came out with the "Special Color Version" which looked better (because it was painted) and apparently fixed the complete lack of quality control of the original release.

I just couldn't get myself to reward Bandai with another purchase even though I really, really, really, REALLY wanted a King Ghidorah in my display.

Now I am so glad I waited.
At first I was nervous because of the stands for the wings.
But I don't mind the wing stands as long as it, you know, stands.

Then there's the folded wings. I loves it!

This looks better than the SHMA version. Hopefully it doesn’t need the wing stands to keep his wing upright though. My SHMA version can stand perfectly fine with the stands, so hoping the Hiya version can do the same.

Did you get the first or second version?
My first version wouldn't stand at all without the stands.
I could pose it easier with all three stands, but something about the "diaper" would make it fall over in a few days.
Without the diaper it was harder to stand, but it would last a month or so before it fell over.
And even without falling over the tail and the two heads would just pop off by themselves.

Looks like the new version of Godzilla can do the "shoot straight up" breath pose.
And Hiya didn't make Godzilla look like a turtle in order to do it.

I have the first version (without the gold paint), and yes I’ve always been able to get it to stand with the wings spread without the supports, no problem. There’s a perfect center of gravity, at least with mine, that makes it super sturdy with no hint of it ever falling or leaning over. I’ve read other reports from people like you saying the stands are required, but I’ve never needed to use them.
