This is pretty neat if you absolutely must have Alien stuff in the 3.75 scale for some reason, but I'm going to stick with my NECA Aliens/marines.

I'm one of those guys that feels aliens should be in every scale. From life size standing several feet above my head down to teeny tiny model trail scale. Alien figures in all scale should be a presidential mandate dammit

I own the soldier alien, absolutely fantastic figure.

This is why you need a 3.75" alien:

They likely won't make one. Ripley was not in the main game.

Joe- all of the Alien figures were released a while back, not just the solider. The only things new in this assortment are the Marines and the Power Loader. I've had the solider, boiler, lurker and acid spitter for a while now, probably two years at the very least.

Overall, I agree with almost everything you said in your review...the Aliens look great for the most part, but the quality is just NOT there. The joints barely have any range of motion whatsoever and the figures as a whole just feel incredibly brittle...I've had more than one knee/elbow snap on me without barely even applying any pressure. They're worth it if you really desire Aliens in a Joe-scale, but please be careful with them. Again, they look VERY cool but they will NOT hold up under any pressure. But be gentle and you'll be okay.

BTW, the eggs/facehuggers are fantastic. I wish they were selling them separately because I would buy a million of them.

As for the Marines, I can't help but to be a little disappointed. I'm glad to hear that the quality is better than the Aliens and that their articulation is very good. However, as you pointed out, the head sculpts are hot garbage and the figures overall just look...I dunno, very plain and basic, almost like a dollar store figure. Okay, it's not THAT bad, but they don't look as good as I was hoping. BTW, are the vests removable, or part of the sculpt?

As far as I'm concerned, the Marauder Task Force figures are my REAL Colonial Marines...there's a specific color/accessory loadout you can select when buying them that is obviously meant as a direct homage to Aliens, and they even sell pulse rifles and flamethrowers (and a smartgun is coming with an actual steadicam rig as well):

As for the Power Loader, holy shit! That thing is AMAZING. Glad to head it came out so well and the pics you took really highlight how sweet it looks, especially with the nice hive backdrop you used. Great review as always.

Hiya seems to take a looong time to produce their stuff...the Marines were announced ages ago. I have a feeling it's be a while before we see any of their Predator stuff.

Where did that 3.75" articulated Predator come from? Is it a custom? The only one I know about in this scale was the Funk ReAction one which sucks.

3 Microman and a bunch of Hot Toys Snap Kit Predators were released in 1/18th. That one doesn't look like any of those. Maybe custom?

They are sculpted separately and you can see they are a different piece when you take the figure apart at the waist. I didn't try to remove it though. After the hassle of fixing the Soldier, I didn't dig too deep into which parts were removable for fear of having to bust out the glue again.

Yup is a custom, has the ReAction head on it though!

If Hiya do a Predator line as good as the Alien line then I'm on board.

Scratch my earlier comment. They're teasing plans for a mix of more game and some movie Aliens figures as well as a new female figure. So you may get your wish.

Nice collection of Marauder Task Force figures! I've also got me one of each color. I'm looking forward to the Valkyrie line and the steadicam gunner!

Thanks! I'd love to get more but while the base figure is affordable, once you buy all the accessories and trick them out the way you want they can run upwards of $30+ a figure. The ability to customize them so much is awesome, but it ain't cheap, man.

And yeah, I'm really looking forward to the Valkyrie line and that steadicam gunner...hopefully there aren't any more production delays.
